i stabled 1 horse, (to play ctf) and when i claimed it, it gave me 3 horses. brown is the color of the horse
Am I the only one who read 'Horse puping' as the subject line and chuckled a bit thinking, 'oh, the horse poop string is misspelled'? In all seriousness, was it literally the same horse? Was it the same name? Were they all on the same tile? And what stables were these stabled at?
i stabled one brown horse, unnamed, and it was in the ctf lobby, second time its happened same place same commands, i dont think they were on the same tile, but they were all brown. like i said, its happened to me twice, so its not a random fluke.
I realize this might be a dumb question, but in attempting to narrow down the cause of an issue, it's always best to get the little mistakes out of the way first. That being said, is it possible that you stabled 2 other horses previously then claimed all of your stable at once?
You may have already thought of this, but here is one possibility. Unlike other UO servers, Renaissance does not distinguish one stable from another. If you stable a horse at the stable in Moonglow, you can claim that same horse from any other stable, including the Lost Lands. I love this feature, but it sure did confuse me my first few weeks here. Here's an idea to help you determine if there really is some odd glitch resulting in your horses multiplying while stabled. The next time you plan to stable a horse, first use the claim command (ie. Claim) to make certain you have NO other stabled pets. Then, stable your horse the same way you have been doing. Then, immediately use the claim command, only add an extra word or two (ie. Claim my pets) which will result in a pop-up box showing a list of your stabled pets by name. If you see more than one horse on this list, then immediately login to IRC and tell Telamon, Ezekiel, or Rammar. The less time that passes, the easier it will be for them to track-down the glitch. Good luck.
Sounds like universal stables, a certain server which shall not be named allows each stable master to store the tames. On Renaissance it is a universal stable, accessible from any stable master.
