Pretty simple. s/b is s/b. This is the code of conduct: http://uorforum.com/threads/trade-forum-code-of-conduct-updated-6-10-16.17309/
Sorry for the delay in the reply, just getting around to this as well. Before you put together this friendly response, I was already planning on addressing this. Let us cover a few basics first: I listed the auction with a 50K S/B and at the time I did not realize this sword was worth significantly more (at least according to other members and other auctions that were linked to me). This is my error. I am new to the server and the "pricing guide" says this should be worth ~96K if I remember correctly. I could link corresponding previous auctions to show this should be worth more than 60K. A 40K difference is significant to someone new to the server. Ultimately, none of that matters because I was the one who started the auction at 50K. This is my error. There is a code of conduct here and even though I technically haven't broken any "rules", I'm teetering on the line of breaking "ethics". This is my error. You making some crazy post and threatening me in game and on the forums makes me want to tell you to take a long walk off a short pier. I'm new to this server, not to UO. You throwing out threats like this almost makes me want to tell you - game on. Let's face it, if I was really scared of this... I would just make a different character name. This is 2016, not 1999. This is your error. Since 3/4 of the issues are mine and we're arguing about virtual currency, I will make this right. I should be on tonight between 9 and 10 PM EST or can make it work anytime after 5PM EST the rest of the week. PM me if you have a specific time you would like to meet at. Fair deal with water under the bridge? Edit: Just to be clear on the pricing, it surprised me on a server with repair deeds and where Balrons drop 1K+ gold/ea. that a 1-handed sword of Vanq and Daemon Dismissal only went for 60K. I recognize that it is not a premium sword like a Katana or Kryss, but it's still a solid 1-handed sword.
"Post any bid or offer that you have no intention of following through with." This is the fault line stated in the rules. If you had no intention of accepting the S/B, you were in violation by posting with an S/B less than what you wanted. It's not really worth as much as you're feeling, otherwise it would have bid up higher. Good on you for making it right. I look forward to seeing more listings and not having to ignore them due to poor business practice. Welcome to Renaissance.
Thanks. Even the darn hammer pick of might and earth shatter in the thread below is selling for 60K! lol
Correction shad, the earth shatter weapon is cool for a battle miner. The weapon in this auction would be good for a Faction character farming silver.
No, it's selling for 60K BECAUSE it's earth shatter. The most sought after slayers here are Repond, Elemental Ban, Earth Shatter, and (to a lesser degree) the other super slayers (Silver, Exorcism, Arachnid Doom, ect).
If I had the cash I would have dropped 100k easy on this, there are numerous spots to farm multiple daemons/balrons/ice fiends...and this would have made its money back in a matter of days. Just my thoughts, but this went for a steal!!
Did he make this right and sell it for the 60k? If not I'm on board with derailing all of his auctions… and its really not worth that much more lol
smooth trade, thank you for fulfilling your end of the deal. I would trade with again as long as all set rules are followed. Thank you to UO:R for the help in voicing the code of conduct we set forth on these auctions.
