Ocllo New Player Housing

If you are a new player and are interested in having somewhere to set up and train while you get acclimated to the shard, then please consider using one of these fine Ocllo New Player homes! Currently, six homes are available - there is no charge or fees for this service.



Conveniently located between Wodan's Provo House and the town of Ocllo, each home is equipped with a variety of add-ons to help you train up some skills, as well as some privacy so you can work on fighting skills.



Included in each home are the following:

• Metal Chest --> A secure container to store valuables in

• Runebook --> Easy access for recalling to other towns, or just back to Ocllo bank

• Spinning Wheels --> Double click Wool or Cotton to make balls of yarn or spools of thread

• Loom --> Double click the balls of yarn or spools of thread and target the Loom to make cloth (each bolt takes 5 to make)

• Pickpocket Dip--> Double click the dummy to train stealing. Works until 25 skill

• Training Dummy --> Double click the dummy to train a combat skill. Works until 25 skill

• Anvil --> Use tongs or a blacksmith hammer near the anvil to craft weapons and armor

• Forge --> Double click ore and target the forge to smelt into ingots

• Lockpicking Training Boxes --> Use lockpicks from 30 lockpicking skill to GM on the four provided boxes

A few things to point out:

• You are welcome to use the house as long as you like - no rush.

• If you need additional characters added, hop on IRC and let me know.

• Please keep the house locked.

• Please let me know when you are finished with the house.

• If the house goes to Fairly Worn and you have not notified me that you are away, the friends list will be cleared so someone else can use the house. Any items inside will be moved to temporary storage for one month after which they will be trash barreled. (This applies to all players going forward from 2/12/18).

What an outrageously generous offer to help new players, like myself, get accustomed with Renaissance! I've been shard hopping for a month trying to find a strong community and what feels like an authentic UO experience and nothing seems really close to this. Everyone has been friendly. I've just been training around Occlo, getting a feel of this new land.

If someone of more need comes along feel free to put them first, but I would be lying if I didn't say I would love one of these sweet cabins. The bear skin rug is an awesome touch! I'll fire you a PM. Cheers ReZon .

Hope I'm not hogging it, really appreciating the use of the house tho'! Might even hunt for a spot of my own on Ocllo.. I've grown accustomed to this place..

I finally managed to scrape together enough scratch for my own joint! I'll be ready to vacate as soon as I figure out a good location for placement. Any suggestions for a grateful nub?
