To disable Razor update on the Mac:
Disabling Razor update allows it to start faster on Mac. On MacOS Sierra, going through the update every time Razor starts makes the razor blink repeatedly for several minutes prior to Razor + UO launch. There are two ways to disable the Razor update., one is using Wineskin registery editor but I will just go the simpler way

    1) Go to the folder containing UO Renaissance.app
    2) Right click on UO Renaissance.app & Show Package Content
    3) Go to Contents > Resources and open user.reg using TextEdit (right click > open with other > TextEdit.app)
    4) This file contains the Virtual Windows registry information
    5) Command + F to find “UpdateCheck” to find the line that says "UpdateCheck"="01D24B92476DC31C"
    6) Change the UpdateCheck value to 020391E8A569A689
    7) Save & close
    8) Your UO + Razor will now start much faster

To edit the Razor macro files on Mac:
    1) Go to the folder containing UO Renaissance.app
    2) Right click on UO Renaissance.app & Show Package Content
    3) Go to Contents > Resources > drive_c > users > Wineskin > Application Data > Razor > Macros
    4) These macro files contain the macro information for Razor. Open using TextEdit.app
    5) For easy access to this folder, you can drag the whole Macros folder out to the desktop. It should not move the file, but it should automatically create an alias folder (short cut folder) for you.

How to minimize your Razor for Mac:
By default, minimizing Razor on Mac will result in Razor disappearing. Go to Razor > General > Use shown in: Taskbar (so you can minimize)

Do all three and you will be able to start Razor without waiting for minutes of blinking, copy & paste the macros, and minimize Razor like a fully grown adult.

Momo, many thanks for this. My registry has the following difference to that you quote:

    "UpdateCheck"="01D294E967FD84E6"

Am I still safe to paste the alternative value you gave?

    Thanks in advance.

Anyone have any luck getting music to work on the Mac? Sounds work great, but I truly miss those great music tracks...

Sadly not! Nobody seems to have an answer for it. If I was better with computers I would have a stab at it...

    QUESTION.

When I try to open a separate 'razor' to run another account, I get this error: The application “UO Renaissance” is not open anymore.

How, pray tell, do I play a second account simultaneously?

copy the UOR client and rename it
    for example
    UOR.app
    UOR2.app
    UOR3.app

osx will treath them as 3 different apps.

each UOR client will have his own razor and his own UOAM
    Cretoma and Arya like this.
