This is my new vendor. It has Potions (x100 & Kegs only) & Scrolls. Sold by vendor Marlon. Thanks! Potions: Total Refresh, Greater Explosion (kegs), Greater Heal, Greater Cure. Scrolls: Recalls, Marks, Gates.
If you feel like making stacks of 10, I usually will buy 20 cures/gheals when I get ready to run around on a thief, sometimes I'll buy several stacks a day depending on deaths or use (and if the vendors are stocked) Another idea is to put bags of 50 of each reg and 15 of each pot for grab and go, then you can charge an appropriate mark up, if you feel like investing the time.
@Momo ShadowJack is correct. As back when I played, I provided 50 of each reagent packs (in a pouch), and they were very popular. I was also able to mark them up accordingly to maximize profits, and it was significantly higher than the average 0.5 to 0.75g per reagent mark up on bulk reagents. It takes more time for stocking, but the convenience of a grab and go is very well desired on this shard (Time is money!). Good luck with your new vendor! I hope you see you around in the years to come! - Treasureman
ShadowJack and Treasureman, Thank you for the idea!! Selling potions is insanely ineffective it seems. With researching other vendors, alchemy makes veeerrrrry little. For example, 1 keg of explosion potions cost over 4k to make (4,215 gp) if calculating 70% success rate + recalling + mortar + daily vendor fee etc.... not counting any of labor of buying/crafting kegs, regs and the actual potion. I have seen vendors sell at 4k ~ 8k. At low end, it sells well but you are actually losing gold while doing free labor. At high end, you are barely selling and vendor charges you fees to hold in stock. I think the idea of providing convenience is the key, such as kits (new player bard kit: fullspell book, regs, gm instrument) or like the grab and go reg bags with some potions. Again. Thank you for the idea!
