The really old players already have the most secure CYs for obvious reasons... making enough money to purchase a house with a CY does not require a large amount of time. It can be done super quickly just farming.... So yes the moats and CY cleaning absolutely cater to the new players as opposed to the vets.

I said its a mistake to think Telamon will change anything that hurts the IDERP. And I explained my reasons for believing that. I think he is playing favorites and I don't know how explaining that in detail is back pedaling.

I wasn't trying to fear monger but support my statements that IDOCing shouldn't be "era accurate" on any healthy PRS. You want to be as close to era-accurate as possible but broken mechanics have been changed for balance and fun. EA/Broadsword, in my opinion, implemented great changes to combat automation: http://www.uoguide.com/House_Decay. The 17 hour static window has been allowed to persist for far too long.


3rd party applications support idocing beyond the scope of Razor and cannot be deterred by a captcha when you click a house sign. I am not accusing anyone of using illegal 3rd party applications but stating that they are available and that scripts are even sold privately including programs that most people here never knew existed. On the official server and some PRS currency has a real world equivalent. Are you really going to stop someone from completely automating the process if theyare coding for greed? Keep in mind the programs that the majority know about have off the shelf scripts to handle simpler tasks such as clicking, looting, timing, etc. There is no deterrent for attended script use in idocing. Even from the legal Razor automation process its like saying hey guys its cool to fish all day just dont click the water without using a fishing pole because a captcha might pop up.
