There are probably a lot of people with 10 mil that don't own a fort. That's probably not actually a lot of money to someone who has been playing regularly for a year or whatever. I don't know. Anyway, this is LanDarr's thread so I'll shut up now.
Actually, no. More like a fact that anyone who wants THE largest home in the game, waterfront, can farm up 10 mill in a couple of months and buy it. It's not hard. The fact is, there is no housing crisis. The real crisis is new players expecting to own fortresses right off the bat.
Since this house is no longer on the market, feel free to go off track So why did I pull it? 1. No interest other than hype on the thread 2. No PMs via IRC or Board expressing interest or needing time to raise funds (cept for the one that came in after I closed the sale) 3. I am using it, its not empty & I am not over the house limit. Moving will be a pain. Plans? Any of the following are possible... Relist it eventually Cash in a tonne of CUB to upgrade it, then relist it. Open it up for public use Continue to use it as my BoD Base of Operations
No explanation needed Peace. It's your place and your sale. Good luck! It is just irritating that people propose absurd changes to fix something that is not broken simply because they feel entitled, or want to play easy-mode.
They are when you propose to implement them 4+ years into a server's life, where there is still PLENTY of land available and a healthy housing market. And era innacurate.
Plenty available, and not to mention most homes (including towers) seem to be selling around deed price or not at all, lately.
Changing game play to the detriment of vets to promote a better atmosphere for new players is total dogshit. I agree!
hay guyz I totes just changed chess and made it better pawns now get to move anywhere they want and get light sabers! This years tournaments are going to be soooo awesome!
Ok, you know what, I am stupid. I don't know shit and I completely fail to see the big picture. What is the exact "problem" that 15 houses per player is having for new players? And how will modifying that promote a better atmosphere for new players?
If you spent half the time working toward a large place that you instead spend here whining, moaning and crying about housing, you'd already have one. Making sure newer players have the house of their dreams doesn't "promote a better atmosphere". Everything has price. Everything. Work for it and quit being such a constant crybaby that you can't just rush into a giant field of grass and start planting fortresses like flowers.
SSSHHHHH!! You're not promoting a better atmosphere for new players!! We need to hear exactly what the problem is first!
Short sighted. I don't moan, I have a large house. I don't need. nor want a fortress. I'm just a new face in a group of irrational veterans. Poor you guys. Still haven't heard one good argument for 5 houses per account except "the server is 4 years old" and "veteran privileged". OSI went to one house per account after a few years, time to look at doing it here.
And yes, I'm going to mention housing limitations at every opportunity. Be it new threads or when someone derails a thread.
Not in era, and with a hell of a lot more players. But really, I honestly would like to know what is the issue with 15 houses per player? I do not see a problem with it, and maybe I am short sighted. Please break down for me, how currently 15 houses per account is a problem.
Honestly man, it's a huge thing to write out. I respect you enough to do it though, as I appreciate your honesty and unrelenting defence of 15 houses per account. I'm off to do some shopping but when I get back I will 100% write out my argument.
