    No, it would still be over if it were 24/48. Had SteelyDan been the ONLY bidder on the item, it would be open an additional 24 hours.

    So if only the SB is in on a 24/48 format auction, it goes the 48 hours from when the auction was started and bid time means nothing?

    48/24 or 24/48 usually means if there's one bid it must stand for 48 hours, if multiple people bid then the last bid must stand for 24 hours.

    No, it goes 48 hours from when that bid was placed. If there are 2 or more bids, it ends 24 hours after the last bid.
