    Hi there,

would anyone be so nice to answer some questions? I am slowly getting used to this shard, but there is so much, that I once knew about UO and that is now completely lost. I already asked a lot of questions via IRC (Thank you, everyone, for answering every single one), but I still got some questions, so I thought I simply ask them here. Perhaps other young players might find the answers helpful.

    - There is a world map on UOR homepage. Is it up to date? If so: is it updated on a daily, weekly, monthly basis?

    - What is the exact timer of the last IDOC stage?

    - Perhaps a dumb question: How do people transport all the stuff from IDOCs - once the house has fallen? I remember using a beetle on OSI... But I can't imagine taking a pack horse with mehere on UOR. Do they overload a container and drag dropping it via gate?

    - Is there a daily server downtime (like on OSI)? Would be helpful to know for daily rares eg.

    - I am training a tamer atm. Is it correct, that there is by default only one bonding slot? What are those people doing with a mare and 2 dragons? Did they get additional bonding slots by doing the zookeeper quest? Do they hunt with only "tamed" and not "bonded" pets?

    - House deeds? Were they always that expensive? I do remember way lower prices on OSI (but I am not entirely sure).

    - On OSI I remember the skill Glassblowing. Is it active here?

    - I also remember you could get different kinds of stones (eg agapite, verite, valorite etc.) from mining? It seems, here on UOR these kind of stones only drop from Golems?

    - I see some vendors selling metal chests, but most people seem to use the wooden ones. You can't craft metal chests here on UOR?

    - I remember getting to the lost lands on different ways - Moonglow (recdu/recsu), Delucia passage... and something about a marble building somewhere? I also remember getting to hoppers bog somehow. There were some other ways to get to the lost lands? (i vaguely remember getting to the north champ spawn via a passage in Ice?)

    - Is there a way to get those custom buildings (fortress etc.) mapped in UOAM?

    - I remember running around on OSI, while doing IDOCs, with a macro that automatically clicked every house sign and alerted me (somehow) when there was a house greater or already IDOC. What do people use here? Or do the click every house sign manually while getting around?

    Thank you very much!

    No Glassblowing here.

and No 'Stones' from mining, if you mean that masonery thing. you can get Stone ore from stone golems, which is coming from gargoyle pickaxe mining.

You can smelt stone ores at forge, then you can use those for masonery.

Metal chests come from various sources - fishing, AMIBs, LV 7 maps, holiday scrolls and anniversary scavenger event. but, you can't craft em.

and there are few spots located to lost lands. like marble isle, fire dungeon, serpent pillars, brit sewer and so on.

You can get fortress. but it will be nearly impossible to place a new one by yourself. and no customizable buildings here.

Thank you! Sorry to hear, that there is no glasblowing Skill. In my opinion, everything that enhances crafting is a good thing eventually (same for gardening). Concerning stones I do not really have an opinion, tbh. I liked it the way it worked on OSI, where you could simply gather all kinds of stone through mining. But I'll give it a try. Stone Golems sounds like fun too.

And I do not mean to place a fortress (I do not even own a small house yet), I am simply looking for a way to get them mapped in UOAM. It tracks all kinds of houses, unfortunately not the custom ones.

Thank you! Exremely helpful! I already read the guide to IDOCs but somehow I didn't notice the timers! And yeah, I will do IDOCs again (although my time is limited) - even on my own. I love doing IDOCs and I do not mind getting killed. I do them for fun and not necessarily for the money/loot. And there is always something to grab and run :)

See above answers. Others have answered the vast majority and more than likely have a lot more time on here than me, but above is just a quick run through what I believe to be correct. I'm new to the shard (3 weeks), so take the above at a fairly light level :).

    Cheers.

Thanks, Patek! Especially since you are new as well!

You may be right regarding the world map on the UOR homepage. Now that I think of it... it would make sense.

Concerning the gates/IDOCs. Do you need to run a macro? Can't you do it manually? Well, I'll try it out once I have magery up.

Concerning UOAM: I have no problem with the mapping of houses in general. But those custom houses (fortress etc.) won't be mapped in my UOAM. The old OSI houses are all there.

I am sure some of these were already answered but here goes!

    - There is a world map on UOR homepage. Is it up to date? If so: is it updated on a daily, weekly, monthly basis?

It is up to date - I don't know the exact frequency but it is updated regularly (automatically).

    - What is the exact timer of the last IDOC stage?

    16 hours and 50 minutes.

    - Perhaps a dumb question: How do people transport all the stuff from IDOCs - once the house has fallen? I remember using a beetle on OSI... But I can't imagine taking a pack horse with mehere on UOR. Do they overload a container and drag dropping it via gate?

Correct, you pick up a container so it hovers on your cursor and then press a macro button that sends you through a gate. The macro is very simple to make, just record a macro and double click a moongate. Convert the moongate click to click by type, and viola.

    - Is there a daily server downtime (like on OSI)? Would be helpful to know for daily rares eg.

No daily server downtime. On the front page of the UOR website it tells you how many days the server has been up since the last downtime. Rares are on timers.

    - I am training a tamer atm. Is it correct, that there is by default only one bonding slot? What are those people doing with a mare and 2 dragons? Did they get additional bonding slots by doing the zookeeper quest? Do they hunt with only "tamed" and not "bonded" pets?

One bonding slot to start with, correct. Additional bonding slots can be procured through the Tamer's Quest (that is what all those funky tamer quest animals are for).

    - House deeds? Were they always that expensive? I do remember way lower prices on OSI (but I am not entirely sure).

The prices are the same as OSI (I remember them well!)

    - On OSI I remember the skill Glassblowing. Is it active here?

No glassblowing here, I believe that was introduced sometime well after Age of Shadows.

    - I also remember you could get different kinds of stones (eg agapite, verite, valorite etc.) from mining? It seems, here on UOR these kind of stones only drop from Golems?

You can mine those up. It depends on your level of mining skill. The higher your mining skill, the more rare types of ore you can find, assuming you are mining the correct veins for them.

    - I see some vendors selling metal chests, but most people seem to use the wooden ones. You can't craft metal chests here on UOR?

Correct, metal chests come from other sources such as fishing.

All of the methods you mentioned will still get you to the lost lands. There is also the Britain Sewers (I think that takes you out to the bog), the entrance to the Lighthouse found in the Yew Prison, a tunnel beneath the Vesper graveyard, the Fire Dungeon entrance from Serpent's Hold, and probably others that I am not remembering off the top of my head, in addition to the ones you listed.

    - Is there a way to get those custom buildings (fortress etc.) mapped in UOAM?

I am sure there is a way but I never use UOAM (sorry!)

    - I remember running around on OSI, while doing IDOCs, with a macro that automatically clicked every house sign and alerted me (somehow) when there was a house greater or already IDOC. What do people use here? Or do the click every house sign manually while getting around?

You can't automate clicking house signs here, it will ultimately prompt the AFK gump for resource gathering. You can get around this though by using the Item ID skill (at GM level) which you can use on the house sign and it will tell you the house condition. You can run a macro that does this even while AFK, you just have to be alive to do it obviously since you can't use skills as a ghost.

@Alex Caember Thx, a lot! Extremely helpful! :)

What do you use instead of UOAM? Or do you prefer to play without mapping tool!

UO Razor has its own thing. Press the "Open UO Positioning Tool" under the General tab and it pops up a map that you can resize as you wish.
