BlackEye, I havn't had the honor to met you ingame! And to be honest: As I am fairly new, I don't even know if you are THE BlackEye I see/saw here posting with another account. If so, I would like to tell you that I very much enjoyed your stories in the thiefing thread (for a new player it's not easy to understand all the connections you guys have, to know who is posting with which account etc. But I guess that's how it is if you are late to the party).

However, I wish you all the best and I hope you find your luck and peace (even without UO). I've been there where you are right now. Actually playing video games has cost me two longtime relationships. And although I really wish I could say that I am sorry, looking back, I don't regret a single thing. Those were dark years for me, but after being single for a couple of years, I finally met the girl of my dreams. And three years ago our daughter was born. And I love this kid more than anything else on this world. So in the end, everything turned out right! And I really hope that everything turns out right for you too!

And congrats on quitting BE. You don't have to play this game/sever forever. I certainly don't miss playing. I remember good times, good battles, good friends,and good enemies. But I'm happy to have moved on too.

I would like to tell you I appreciate the stand you took against some things. This is a forbidden subject, so all I'll say is that I appreciate that you took a stand and suffered for it on more than one occasion.

Obviously I don't want your items, but it was good to know you. I definitely had some run-ins with you while you were thieving, although I'd like to think I'm not one to get caught slipping often.

I would like to offer that any items you would like to be locked down on my large marble and not moved until I officially quit myself, I would be honored. We (555 guild) donated most of our stuff when we took our breaks to Gideon and has most all of it locked down for display purposes, the rest was sold off to help fund shard events. I hope you at least pop in and say hi on the forums/IRC.

You notice Pearl taking holiday coin from your bag. A disguised figure darts out the door and teleports over the fence. I quickly bring in another character with tracking... running around... searching. I pick up a trail, I hope it's them.

A figure darts out, but still unmounted. A chase ensues, spells and pots slinging. He's near death!

I hope this lands in time! He's at 10% health, it's so close. I palm another explosion pot and toss it, hoping to finish the job. The pot goes off... the dust settles... and the thief is... gone.

That was the first time I met Blackeye and the only time any thief has successfully taken something of worth from me and escaped with the loot.

I'm sad to see you leave, but happy you're doing it for good reasons. I can't say I support the nonsense posts you've made or lies and baseless accusations you've spread on forums, but I would be lying if I said you weren't fun to play with and against. Good luck!

Ah damn man I can't believe I missed this - I bet you'd already posted it when we met up last night!?

It's a shame to see you go, I'm really going to miss reading your antics, but props to you for calling out a problem (one I've no doubt we all have or have previously struggled with) and taking steps to fix it.

Very sorry to see you go. You have been a huge part of this server and have been responsible for a lot of great in game moments.

My first time encountering you was when you stole a guild deed from me at Jhelom. What an odd grab! You posted it about it the next day.

However, my most memorable encounter with you was close to two years ago I would say. You saw me at Moonglow bank, as I was coming from Papua. You knew who I was, and that I ran a guild that did a lot of events, so you followed me to the moongate, and when I jumped, you followed me to Minoc, where PS had its headquarters at the time.

You proceeded to stealth up to me and about 5 of my members as we stood outside our guild hall talking and getting ready to run and amib. I had it in my pack, in a secondary bag and even in a third bag inside that one. As we stood there, you were snooping me and digging thru my stuff. You found the amib and then BAM revealed yourself, stole it, and took off like a bat out of hell!

The new players that were with me had no idea what to do, they just saw you run off. I was screaming for them to give chase, throw purples, cast Reveal and otherwise do anything to stop you from hiding and stealthing away.......which is exactly what you did. My new guys totally failed, along with myself (no magery on Krake at the time to speak of) and we lost the amib.

You were nice enough to sell it back to me right away at a reasonable price. But the whole incident really opened my eyes and the eyes of my young guildsmen that if we thought we were safe, we might not be. BlackEye might be literally right next to you.

I dont care if I dont get anything (anything you donate will just go right to PS), but this was a great event in my mind and you pulled it off so well. Thanks!

Dude, I amib and tmap mostly. Would like to get into rares hunting, so tips would be more appreciated than anything else.
