FWIW I'm about 100% sure that BlackEye would be perfectly fine with someone selling off some of the items they were gifted.

Look at many of the gifts in this thread like the weapons, treasure maps, AMIBs, BODs, resources, etc etc... they're gifted to be used.

Would people be complaining about someone doing treasure maps or AMIBs they were gifted? Should they hold onto those for a certain period of time before doing them (which is basically exchanging them for gold and items)? Should people not use the slayer weapons in fear of losing them to a PK or wearing them out? What about the resources?

If I ever quit and give my stuff away I guarantee you I'd have no problem with someone selling the items or doing whatever they want with them. Maybe they want to buy a house, maybe they need gold for training, maybe they just want a gigantic pile of gold to swim in.


It shouldn't really be a big controversy in my opinion.

Agree 100%. They are his items and he can do w/e the hell he wants with them. This is just treehugger being treehugger, aka a big steamy pile of troll.

For anyone still wondering. It was clear that what BlackEye was giving away did not have any conditions attached.

Sell it, store it, deco your neighbor porch with it OR trash barrel it while TreeHugger watch and cry.

Am I one of the few that thinks losing someone who was an active part of the community sucks? Well, regardless of your answer, it sucks!

Keep in mind man you are a established player with wealth. Black eye gave items to new players and vets.

No all I was saying was do not be mad if people sold some of his stuff Blackeye knew what he was doing and was aware some of the items would be sold that is why he spread it out

Blackeye was a class act. With all of these gifts he was just trying to help the players in the server vets and newer players. I noticed some people getting upset that items were being sold but, Blackeye would not have been mad and I don't know why they are.
