I've been trying to think of something I could sell since I don't have any crafters, and I was considering setting up shop as a runebook vendor. I like the idea of offering "starter kits" for newer players, since vets probably have their own sets already, but to keep the kits smaller and more affordable I'd like to include only the most needed books. However, I'm not sure which books those would be.

Please choose which of the books you think you'd want in a kit if you were (or are) a newer player!

voted with a little specificity ...

city banks (some distance away / low block risk) - 3 versions minimum
dungeons by level (safe spots / near stairs etc)

town vendor locations - perhaps 3 different sets

    1. selling loot
    2. tailored (pun) for crafters - resource buying routes (ingots, cloth, reg leather, etc)
    3. reagents / scribes / alchemy shops

save yourself a little mana/regs and have Dungeon Fairy (Ocllo) gate you at/nearby most of the locations -- beware after awhile, you'll surly be spotted/tailed by scoundrels (see: fun)

    g'luck!

Ok, here is the deal on runebooks. These are what every starter set should have in my opinion. All town banks, Tailors, Blacksmith, moongates, stables, champs, dungeon entrances, t2a entrances, and popular farming spots. No one really cares or ever uses butcher shops, shipwrights, taverns etc. I would say the popular spawn spots for zoo keeper animals would be cool too. T2a books are really pointless because you can recall into there when it's locked down in your house unless of course you plan on removing some runes and throwing in your blessed runebook for your trip over there. I think a bad ass idea is if you can make a runebook for each slayer item. For example, Ophidian slayer book at their different spawns, dragon slaying spawns etc. I've never see books like that so if you make them and get rich, I want a free copy please because it's trademarked now... lol. Good luck man

Towns / Dungeon Entrances is all any new player needs. As they make their tamers and PvMers stronger they can start marking or buy their own champ spawn locations, hot spots, etc.

Coming from a newb to this shard, the first rune books I bought were: Towns, Dungeons, Flax/Wool, Blacksmiths. Just my 2 cents.

A rune to a good Rune Book Library must be included. :)
