*Cero flexed his hand around his halbred, he knew tonight would be an interesting patrol* I departed the west outpost making my rounds, first stop the orc fort south of Yew. It did not take long before I ran into trouble, seems all the players were out this evening. The wretched orc Muguk was on the prowl and a couple of brigands, the Outcast Dreg and Ricky "los malvados" Spanish were out for a stroll as well. Combat was quickly commenced with Dreg and Muguk, two on one, the odds against me. Back and forth we went, I had Muguk weak and bleeding, Dreg must have seen an opening or known something because he took his bardich and finished off the orc. As Muguk fell Ricky came out of the tree line and join blades with Dreg...this is why he finished off the orc, knowing he could still claim victory with is brethren not far off. I fought well but the brigands eventually took the upper hand and finished the fight. A sad day indeed, but my spirit would rest easy knowing I gave them hell. Resurrected and back on patrol I found myself near the Village of Paws so I stopped by to visit Qamra. She did not let me down, a text looking for help with some reapers that were infesting the north. Off I went, headed straight for the city of Minoc. Just north of the city I found a citizen in need, being held captive by none other then brigands...quick work with my halbred this time and I had the fellow free. He needed an escort to Deceit...he could not even handle a few brigands and he wanted to head to that dreaded place. I used scroll I had purchased from a wizard for such an occasion and had him on the doorstep of the place within moments. I can only hope he has better luck with the undead, then the living. Back at it I rounded the North Mines mountain range and found the evil trees swaying in the breeze. Knowing that these hardy plants have the ability to conjure up the arcane arts I let my bardic skills go to work and had them casting firey magic on each other in minutes. I even had some help from a few orcs...who did not live through the encounter. Having finished off every reaper in the area...something I must commit to doing more often, dangerous place for a traveler if they happen upon it my accident...and fulfilled the quest for 100 roots for the wizards to work their magic in coming up with a cure for these ancient trees; I needed a drink...what better place to end the night then the Emerald, and a few cold ales. Until next time...adventure awaits under every stone, you just have to find it!
Reapers... I despise them. I have read reports coming in that they are spreading. Did you find this to be true? If they are, I shall take sword and lute to their land. Brave deeds Guard Captain!
