Hello trading community, Sometimes I am having difficulties to meet a trade partner ingame due to different time zones, absence because of job, family etc. Reading through the trade forum threads I recognized I am not the only one with that problem. Is there something like an intermediary ingame already? If not, please read the following proposal: It should be a 100% trustable guild with active members from different timezones. (e.g. Project Sanctuary?) The seller would hand over the item to a qualified person of the guild who stores it safely in a guild's house where other qualified members of the guild have access to. The buyer could receive the item from the guild, pay the money due and the guild would hand the money over again to the seller at some point. The intermediary guild could charge a 10% fee up to a 100k trade value. Anything that exceeds 100k trade value would be charged with a lower percentage (1 to 5%). So an item that costs 90k would have a 9k fee whereas an item that costs 1m would have a fee of 10k (10% of 100k) +27k (3% of 900k) = 37k. Fees are to be payed by the seller if not otherwise stated in auction rules. A reliable buyer / seller identification would be required via forum PM and exchange of the characters names who pick up the item / the cash. A list of the qualified persons from the guild should be published for easy contact. You can have several participants in a private conversation in the forums, so just include them all for contacting and wait for further instructions. I would certainly use such a service for my personal convenience. What do you think - and can a trusted guild with an outstanding reputation imagine to take advantage of that business opportunity? It would be cheaper and easier for the seller to just put up a vendor temporarily and send the buyer the location.
@Kizama runs weekly auctions now in game in his fort, and I think only charges 5% if I'm remembering correctly. All items are sold at an in-game auction which is pretty neat. I had him sell something for me with no issues and would definitely do it again.
Many know that I'm always available to help players out with trades, this weekend is actually the last of my traveling work as I work remotely during the fall till the spring so I should be readily available if needed. For those of you that don't know me, I've been here for just over 3 years, have done a series of events and basically run one of the most visited shops on the shard, thankfully owned by Rezon.. I would happy to offer a few moments of time to anyone having trouble meeting up with other players in the event this type of service is required free of charge.

It's interesting, but many people use friends for this kind of transactions. I have repeatedly come across this, because I am from Russia. The forum bought from one, and in the game ended the deal with his friend! But most of all personally, I can find time on the weekend when there are a lot of people on the server, to meet with the seller or the buyer. In any case, the idea of this kind is cool and introducing it would be great! Most likely, I and many will adhere to their old schemes of settlements and transactions! But the fact that you will have clients I do not doubt, because the idea definitely deserves attention! Regards, Kir
Both xeg and hydrox are very respectable people with more to lose if they keep the items. Would trust both, and might actually hold both of them to this. Being an Aussie sucks big time for getting trades done. Especially when my laptop is in 24/7 with irc open. I wake up to lots of PMs at around 2am-6am my time.

Thanks guy.. All this being said, my PM's here shoot straight to my phone, which is always on me, if anyone needs a trade to take place, I always have my laptop or I can remote into my desktop from my phone. Start a PM with myself and your buyer and we'll work it out.
