if i may give a free bump too: i ve possessed quite some homes over the 15months. from smalls to a keeps (multiple) and now into two forts. all this is no secrecy. but i do want to point out 1 thing. a house is only worth what someone or some ppl are willing to pay. history: urinalcake tried to sell his fort on dagger for 11,5 and he didnt succeed. he ended up keeping it for his guildies. i offered him 10back then and wouldnt, which is his fair call. then the castle that was sold for 17mil. i remember this well as i was squeezing everything i had to reach 15m. i saw punts fort when he was asking 30M, now he sold it for 25 i believe? (not sure) i wanted to offer him 22 but you insisted in his 25 somehow. larloch asked 25 for his, but i didnt fell for it. i dont like that neighboorhood i ended up buying 2 forts (from thelax) + extras for 42.3 mil. not because i want to hord houses, but basically it didnt make sense to me paying 25 odd for 1, (either location you like or not) while i can get 2 side by side 1 tile away for 21 each !!!! i remember the day i approached thelax when i only had 10 mil ! of worth. haha all im trying to say: regardless of how much capitalisation there is, how much someone spends on an object... is pure personal affection to this item. when you start UOR, and you have an UO background, you know how this goes. the richer get richer, and the poorer work harder ! noone tells you you have to obtain a keep or fort. i know ppl playing longer than me and they lived in a small marble until 2 weeks ago !!! its all about personal choices. it can be very frustrating that the minority of players posses the limited special houses. and not just fort.... there is a L tower id love over any house on this shard! but its not worth 50 mil to me (i know the reader is reading this) but this is what you know when you play UO (anywhere) it was designed like this in the 90's. one can debate on the 5houses/account (3), but thats what you read when you start playing it, so you know the ball game (ppl horde this shit and you get almost ZERO chances.) people are only playing the game as its been laid out for them. you make choices to play or not, to hord or not. good luck larloch !
I've owned 3 forts on this server, sold one, dropped one, and let one fall. That being said if I had the coins I would make this my fort number 4. I'm one of those players that does not care to pay for a home.
Where as I agree with the Thelax 2032 part.. It's rude to imply that Phillip was someone involved other than putting in bids he couldn't pay for.
