I've been watching this plot for a while and this is the first time it's been put up for sale, grab it while you can and for this price it's a steal!
Gonna have to back out due to what happened to the area. The reason I bid was because it was clean...now it looks like a trailer park. Sorry boys
Did the other houses get removed yet? Witchcraft is right, that place has turned into a trailer park ghetto!
(10:38:07 AM) Hoominaga: lol theres a house in the nujelm gy now too (10:38:27 AM) Telamon: Yes those will be fixed, You cannot place on roads or in graveyards (10:38:40 AM) Telamon: The players will get a nice bug report award however Just restart the auction once he fixes it.
I call shenanigans. We move guardzone lines so houses are in the gz why cant the players keep their houses on the roads.
UOR-historically, stuff that is owned by players wasn't taken away. For example, there were many houses in GYs or special zones that always were made grandfathered never to be replaced in case it drops. So, they vanished when time passed. Why is it different in this case? @Chris Btw, no, I don't defend the looks of the new area. It looks like crap. But player's shouldn't speculate on rewards or something for placing crap houses. If they placed them (and when they aren't obviously buggy - blocking etc.), then they should own them and once they drop, it's all good. And they will drop, because they have no appeal. My opinion.
We should have been a bit more clear on the "Houses placed blocking access to the moongate/graveyard/shops" will not be permitted. Common sense should indicate that these would be removed immediately regardless. Note: Historically we have taken similar steps on issues like this with a few exceptions like the Serpents Hold stable house. Most graveyards at one point or another have had a house inside of them. In cases like this however we do reward the players that discover these spots as we have missed them in testing. In this case it was a single player who placed all 3 houses and he was rewarded with 3 bug reporting awards (Named Pegasus statues, in a color of his choosing). We do appreciate the player involved being understanding as we rarely force anyone to do anything. We had 4-5 players run extensive tests on the changes to determine where houses would fit, in addition to my own testing. And not only did we miss these 3 spots, we missed that a house would fit north of the graveyard. A region has been added to control these spots and address this going forward. 7 legal houses have been placed by a variety of players that are properly placed and roughly as we expected. Going forward we will be more literal denying placement in areas that we assume houses will not fit. Otherwise the event went well and players were able to place 7 new houses in space that was previously almost never seen by a casual player. The graveyard is now a functioning spawn location and which had been requests for years by various players.
Will you be removing the house North of the graveyard as well @Chris ? Thats a nice spot. It doesn't seem to be causing any problems.
