Edit: Elemental found on (poison elemental) to: Elemental Health typeof (poison elemental) ? Also what slayer works on etheral bunnies in the tame quest? I've tried fey weapons on them. I have a few Fey weapons and instruments, I cannot remember what type dropped them.
The Spectral Rabbits are base type - Creature. There is no slayer for them or any other wild animals. However, frenzied ostards destroy them quite well
These two are awesome ideas! Would also like a Giantkin Sub-Slayer under repond for hunting Titans/Cycs/Ettins and their respective bosses.
Yea it would be hard to implement, as it would force us to invalidate the "silver" class as being a super slayer. Otherwise the new sub silver slayers would be drastically inferior to normal silver slayers (that exist everywhere). However categories under existing super slayers for the other categories would work to account for monsters that are new (like pirates) and to expand the variety of specific slayers found in the wild. Kind of a middle ground for players to use, while the super slayers would remain rare and valuable.
I think an overall increase in the abundance of slayer weapons would be good for dexxers and those that like to use them. Not sure how game breaking it would be, but I enjoy slayers, i enjoy dexxers, but taking a slayer into the field is asking for a loss a lot of times.
I propose that Snakes Bane should effect all Ophidians (they are snakes). This would bring value or a pretty much useless slayer type. On this topic, whats the point of the slayer type Scorpions Bane? Pretty much usless, these others are not 100% unless but hold little-to-no value : Elemental Health, Vacuum, Summer Wind, Flame Dousing, Water Dissipation Dont know how we would "fix" these slayer groups to give them value. I mostly bring this up because these low-value slayers often pop up in lvl7 Tmap chests and its kind of a let down when you ID them lol.
Most of these suggestions seem very good but I don’t think drops should be increased in the instances. Due to they already have very high reward for pretty much 0 risk IMO. If anything drops in dungeons should get buffed to promote farming in dungeons and more interactions with players.
Alright, I got several conformed errors to report now. I have tested these all multiple times to insure that I am not wasting anyones time. Anaconda - Both snakes bane and Reptilian Death are not currently effecting these things. Loot tables on this mobs also need to be updated to include arachnid slayers (arachnid doom, spiders death, terathan, and the legendary...scorpions bane) Beast Tamer - Repond doesn't work on these "humanoid" type monsters. They do drop silver weapons, which seems about right. Khaldun Monsters - It might be intentional, but why doesn't silver slayer work on ANY of these monster? I need more time to test some things but there are additional bosses & mini-bosses that are both not effected by the correct slayer type and dont drop or correct slayer type.
I have heard this rumor many times in the past and @Animal Control confirms that its true. The boss Dark One doesn't drop repond weapons as it would be expected. Instead, its stuck on the standard silver weapons drop... odd for a boss lich to drop silver.
Another one: The Efreet Sultan is dropping silver instead of Exorcism types. And sure it's no rumor with the Dark One: I got very fine Silver vanqs from it.
Some of these current settings do not match the compendium. Is this list more accurate than the compendium? For example, you list Arachnid Spiders Death typeof( DroneMage ), Whereas the compendium lists DroneMage as Effective Slayer Terathan http://www.uorenaissance.com/info/DroneMage
Another example would be Purveyor of Darkness, listed in both Daemon Dismissal and Balron Damnation (Compendium says Balron Damnation) Abyss - Daemon Dismissal typeof(PurveyorOfDarkness), Abyss - Balron Damnation typeof(PurveyorOfDarkness) ) There are more. Just want to know if this list is authoritative @Chris ?
while not part of the listed slayers for discussion.. im interested in why the yetis/abominable snowman arent included in the dark elf slayers? they are like the only mob, besides polar bears, that the slayers dont work on
It might give some value to player-made weapons, and especially the lesser runic hammers if mage/smiths could imbue exceptional weapons with a sub-slayer via some in-game method. Should probably have a very high fail rate and be very expensive, and I would leave super-slayers off the list though. Could be implemented with the paegan ragants. Wyrm hearts to make dragon slayers has a nice ring to it. Add the hearts to what carves off the dragon champs. Deamon bones to the balron champ, etc.
