This shard has almost nothing like OSI 1999-2002... Lots of things created to this shard i never seen on OSI UO... Weapons damage, never seen a new two handed weapon give no damage on hit with 120 tactics!!!, spells off and at least, working diferent from original... lots of changes on craft system... some skills working complety diferent from OSI! And lots os people saying that is Renaissance copy... Ok... right... before u say a crap like that... should have played on UO OSI 1999-2002... Is a good shard, like a lot there, but what kills here is this... sloppiness with a lot o few bugs and things to do for a long time and not done... I just saying that to share my frustation with a shard that could come to be a great one... but nothing will be done... so wjat i can do, its leave... like some others done!
While there is alot to complain about in general, it's funny that you are complaining about the wrong things and seem to have no clue about the era (well, alot time passed and I guess you are mixing things up). Bye.
were you even old enough to comprehend what you were playing then, Cause your facebook says you're barely 16....( you used the same emails for faceboko and here lol ) but legit... a new (store bought weapon) never hit 25% of the time and missed a lot actually... modifiers were a thing in t2a so idk what your going on it wasnt in ren...... everything is pretty spot on... you are legit special though and ( just becuaes you bought it out a shop from a player doesnt mean its *new * ) i have bought a shit ton of BROKEN weapons from player vendors.... im sure you arms lore everything before you buy it
Again, all of us do realize tactics, or any modifier on melee weapons (excluding archery), have 0 effect on the chance to hit, right? A store bought pitchfork will have the same chance of hitting as a +25 exceptional vanq spear if used by the same char against the same opponent.
Pretty strong statements for a two week old player. However lets look over your complaints. Weapon Damage - Years of research went into our weapon damage system, and the least amount of damage you can do to someone is 50% of the minimum roll for that weapon. (With durability and Parry factored in) Just because a two handed weapon . . is well 2 handed . . does not mean it will always do high damage. So this statement about having 120 tactics and hitting someone for no damage is false at best, minimally misleading. Note: The reference to 120 tactics makes me think you are expecting some sort of later mechanics where skill caps were 120. A UOR player might be upset about 100 tactics or 125 tactics (weapon with tactic bonuses). Someone completely unfamiliar with our mechanics would reference 120. A check of your accounts shows you have 4 characters, and only 1 with combat skills. A fencer with 100 tactics, anatomy and fencing. Which 2 handed weapon were you testing? They most likely do not feel like anything else on any free shard, simply because we are committed to a historical re-creation of UOR mechanics. Not custom shard decisions on mechanics. Crafting - There have been almost no changes to the crafting system from UOR other than changes to the BOD system to be better suited for a free shard environment. Again a check of your accounts shows minimal crafting skills or fully developed characters in which to make a blanket judgement. Skills - All skills work just like they did on OSI, with a few small exceptions that we are still working on. Still the statement lacks specifics. FInally if you are comparing this server to OSI UO in 2002, it would be drastically different, as UO Renaissance is a server without trammel, everything beyond publish 1 on OSI included trammel aspects. So we have some features from beyond our cut off point that were applicable to felucca. While some we do not have as they applied to the implementation of trammel. And I love the "nothing will be done" statement. You've been here two weeks Daniel. There is no where near long enough to ascertain the direction, development habits or event staff accessibility for concerns. If you stick it out, do some research and learn our mechanics you will realize the effort that has gone into creating this place. If you feel that it is inferior and your knowledge of the UOR mechanics surpasses the staff here and our endless research over 5+ years then I wish you well on your travels and would recommend looking into RunUO development yourself so you can "get it right" as you have indicated we have no interest in doing so.

I love reading Chris posts. Part of me says Chris must go thru multiple drafts of his posts before he sends but I prefer to think that he speaks flawlessly like this IRL.

Apparently you need some help in game or maybe remembering something different from 18 years ago....hell I dont even remember thinks from 2 weeks ago. If you need help that is what we are here for, but knocking our server...our community..... doesn't go over well with us vets/staff members. @Chris and his team has built this community from scratch and we are all still here after all these years for a reason. I have played UO from the beginning on several shards and this is by far the best one.
