you realise 8k is the vendor cost right? people typically dont do stuff for free - this is the same as buying bulk regs... fair price is at least 8.5 per
Yeah, newer to the marketplace, and have seen some go cheap. Maybe extras from mining or whatnot. My short term plan B is just vendor them for 8ea.

Lol, nobody said anything about colored ingots Smash. If vendors sold em for 8gp, I'm sure players would also from time to time, considering they are fairly easily acquired in large quantities in the wild.
Yeah no. Nobody goes and mines ingots and sells them at vendor prices. That's what someone does when they have no idea what their time is worth. I can buy 10k iron ingots in 5 minutes, how much you mining in 5 minutes? Don't be sassing people when they give legitimate advice, maybe take a minute to listen. If someone sold at 5.3(lol)they ripped themselves off, and using that as some kind of benchmark is beyond silly.
Mining for ingots is a royal pain in the ass. I'd hate to be so poor that I needed to undercut NPC vendors in order to sell them.
Yeah, I am sure there is a range that people are willing to pay. I really just wanted to point out the fact that people sell them for 8 gp or even less all day long. Like I said above, more power to you if you wanna ask for more. It was more about correcting the improper statement that 8 gp wasn't fair, not so much to say that you can't get more with the right individual in the right circumstances.
Anyway some sell high, some sell low. I got the 10k I was looking for at a rate I am happy with. I'll be back looking for more a little while down the line.

The only times those goods sell for that low is when they are IDOC loot/stolen, or when someone is liquidating due to quitting. And since you're such a fan of math, crunch these numbers: I can easily mine/buy more ingots than all of those trade threads, total, in less than a day. So this thread was me looking for ingots. I got them, and I'm done here. What's clear to me is that ingots can be acquired at 8gp fairly easily whether it be through the vendors, or online at the right time. If you're raking in 10s of thousands of ingots each day and still selling them over 8gp each, all the power to you.
