That's kind of you. I created my account probably close to a year ago but I only recently got a new computer and started building up a character. I have my heart set on a larger house so if you are feeling generous maybe one day you could direct me to a relatively secluded spot that will fit a Large Brick, or maybe a L-Shape?
Pick me! Just started few days ago, enjoying playing again after over 5 years.. Lived in Minoc since the very early days! https://photos.app.goo.gl/EP1EpclqIrXmZ0jN2
Hello kind sir Rextacy! Please consider my application to be selected to receive such a fine house so close to the Minoc moongate. I first started playing Ultima Online way back in 1998, and I've played games since, but nothing compares to Ultima Online. World of Warcraft, Everquest, Albion Online, Minecraft, Etc. Nothing, it seems, will ever replace UO. So here I am, 20 years later, still playing Ultima Online. My son calls UO "the video game for 40 year olds". The cheesy graphics don't make sense to him. The sandbox experience makes all the sense to me. I remember the first day logging into Ultima Online. I literally did not go to bed that night. I wandered the forests killing animals and monsters. I would cut up the corpses to collect the hides and meat. I would run all the way back to Britain to sell the leather armor that I would craft using the tailoring skill. I would cook the meat and sell it to the innkeepers. That is how I made my money. I didn't even buy a horse in the beginning because I did not have high enough taming skill and 800 gold was a lot of money to spend to buy a horse. I remember the ominous sound of horse steps coming from offscreen. Was it just another adventurer, or was it a bloodthirsty PK ready to kill me dead and pick my corpse clean of all my belongings? Soon, I met a handful of friends who became my guildmates. We would talk every day after work and school through ICQ and meet up on UO to play for hours on end. A few of us were lucky enough to have a small, shack house. Just like everybody else, we wanted something bigger to call home. Every day we would go to the Oasis in T2A to PVM and farm for gold. Within a couple of months, after pooling all of our gold together, we finally had the 400,000 gold it cost to buy a large tower deed. Back then, there was actually space available that you could actually find an empty piece of land to place your own large house. We placed a large tower, we were in bliss! So many great memories. Soon came Trammel, then later the Age of Shadows expansion with all the new, weird item stats. The Ultima Online that we all met and fell in love with changed so much in just a few short years. I quit playing the OSI version of UO probably 10 years ago. I tried other non-OSI UO shards, but this one is the best. It's still so simple and true to classic UO, but it has just enough of the cool stuff to keep it interesting. So here I am on UO Renaissance. It's only been a couple of months. Finally, I've got my sandbox world back. I first started with a fisherman. I figured I would collect fishing nets and MIBs. I quickly realized that NPC vendors don't sell boats, LoL! They have to be crafted, which is different but kind of cool. It gives crafters another great reason to be in the business of selling crafted goods. So, I started gathering resources and working on crafting. I think that is one of the things that I dig the most about UO. I love putting my maker's mark on a GM-made item and selling it on a vendor. I Gmed Tailoring already. I'm almost done with Carpentry as well. After that, I'll do Blacksmithing. Then I'll be set to make my own armor, weapons, furniture, and boats! It's all about location, location, location. To have a successful vendor, you must have a vendor in a good area with a lot of traffic such as close to a moongate. However, I don't have any gold to afford a decent house, let alone a house in a good vendor location. I use all of the resources that I gather to raise my crafting skills instead of selling the resources for gold. I would love nothing more than to have a great vendor spot close to a moongate and a fine town such as Minoc to start selling my wares. Please consider gifting to me your Minoc gate house so that I can turn it into a sandstone vendor mall! Respectfully, Steb
Hi there! I'd love a place of my own, so please consider me. I played on Chesapeake back in the beginning and off and on (In Por Ylem) on free shards. I've recently had a desire to start again and found UO:R. I was hooked! So I've been working on a treasure hunter and fisherman and enjoying the community of the forums and in game. Hope I win and have a place to hang my hat!
Just like the last giveaway, Atrium Mart Moonglow would like to offer its services to outfit the new home with any non-Oak furniture and/or add-ons to ease the move in Upon winning, simply send me a PM here on the forums with a list of items and I would be more than happy to help. IRC with any questions. Good Luck!
A sandstone can fit there. It could be tricky to place. Feel free to ask me assistance. Great idea @Rextacy ! If you agree i can add the north sst in the giveway.
Whomever receives this(these?) property(ies) can also receive a stimulus package based on their current character build they are working for Examples: Bard: slayer instruments + regs Dexxer: GM weapons + magical weapons/armor suits Crafter: some iron ingots and a bunch of hammers/saws/nose flutes If you're a hybrid then please accept a lot of little things! LET'S GET THESE GUYS STOCKED TO ROCK!

Hey there, First, thanks for doing this. Whether I win the house or not, really great to see that veteran players are interested in helping out the new blood on the shard. I'm new here, but not to UO. I first played on Great Lakes as a teenager back in the late 90s. UO was one of my first game purchases, back in the days of cloth maps and thick user guides. I remember staying up late at night poring over pages on stratics. I remember my best friend and I having to convince our parents to let us spend our allowances on receptionist-style hands-free phones because Teamspeak & Ventrilo hadn't been invented yet. I remember trapping boxes and leaving them on the side of the road to prey on unsuspecting noobs, and I remember how I felt the first time I saw a dragon. In the years since, I've played just about every other MMO out there, but nothing has ever scratched the itch quite like UO. Last week I looked up player made shards on a whim, and here we are. I'm working on my first toon at the moment. I'm not sure what direction I'll go, to be honest, but I'm leaning toward playing as a thief. So you'll forgive me if I don't reveal too much more about my build or template just yet I think it goes without saying why I want a house - who wouldn't? But for what it's worth, I've never owned one before in all my time playing UO, so it would be neat to check that off my bucket list. In any case, thanks for your consideration, and see you around! -Pheemo
