As far back as I can remember in UO (end of 1997), the tamer has always been the elite PvM class. On the Atlantic server, I remember provoking dragons, thinking I was the top of the food chain, until I watched a tamer walk past me with 30+ dragons under his command. Like 10 minutes later, I made Beast Master and Batterd Heart. There was a guy named Herbert Wheeler (Slanterr on the forums), that took me under his wing and had me taming 2nd tamed everything from hinds to harts to bulls. Before I knew it (5 weeks later), I had my own group of 30 dragons... Those were the days *tear* And now... tamers with 5 control slots aren't as powerful as they once were, but still offer more DPS than just about anyone else. Play style shouldn't be in question, in my mind. You have 15 character slots between 3 accounts.... so play how ever you want between events. If you wanna fish, then fish. If you wanna archery, then archery. If you wanna dexxer, then dexxer. But make at least one tamer, that way when events come, you can enjoy and participate without crying about tamers being over powered. You got 14 other character slots that you can focus on your "play style". /end rant
It's 2018, and UOR has been around since like 2012. If you don't have at least 1 tamer within your 15 character slots, you might be doing something wrong
Oh I have a tamer - that isn't the point. It isn't my favorite char to play as by a long shot, and it would be nice to see more variety in event structure. Sure I can hop onto him every time there is an event, and mostly I do. Like I said, hoping this event offers a bit more variety - looks like it might.
So has anyone seen any leprechauns around?? Was that an April fools gag or maybe they will kick off the festivities with another town raid?

I believe we as players must figure that out. When secrets are found, some dont always share the secret...
Chris has a life, a family, a job, bills and shit... he takes time out of all those things to spend money on a server, and spend time making special events so we as players don't get bored and hop off to another game or another server. Hours and hours, countless amounts, go into dedicating time and effort into a server of this size, population, and magnitude. His thanks is "this event doesn't fit my play style"? Please consider for a moment that CTFs aren't kind to tamers. The Valentines event wasn't kind to tamers (except for the last stage). MANY of the aspects of the server aren't kind to tamers. But, for real, tamers can claim the best GPH. Tamers(mostly) have no resist and are squishy as hell, and when their pets die, they are almost useless. But I do believe that you are correct and that Telamon should develop a holiday event that is strictly pro mage/dexxer and anti tamers. Make the tamers get out of their play style to compete.
Why a stealthing addition and not a stealing addition. If you look at the amount of complaints ab out rouge skills, hiding and stealthing come to mind as being the least bitched about by far. They had an opportunity here to really apease a player group that has by FAR the hardest time on this server in regards to skill vs. ability. I'll come out and say it that I think they could have done more for a neglected class. The above is strictly about the item, not the event. The event is great and by far my favourite. Just could have put another spoonful of sugar in the cup instead of making this drink half-sweet.
Because stealing has nothing to do with the event creatures. The Leps are stealthers, so the boots are related to the event. Might as well ask why he didn't put in a skillet of +5 cooking as ask about thievery.
Just did my first cave! That shit was tiiiiiiiiiight! I aint gonna post photos of the actual cave, y'all get to enjoy that fo yo selves! What I will say is make sure you have some strength pots cause y'all gonna be haulin' some LOOT.
Yea, can’t really have NPC thieves that steal so it becomes about class. Stealthing is part of the thief/rogue class so it’s not a stretch that they would drop other class-like items. The main Lep in the cave fights with a big spear yet he dropped a war mace when I killed him, same same my dude.
Ahhh I wish I had the level of substance abuse he had. I appreciate your attempt to instigate, however, it’s not really my style to lose my mind on a guy. I said the same thing about archery. It’s a trend my man, almost enough but not quite. No rage quits or profane language or flying off the handle for me. Just asking for a little more is all.
