The lengths people will goto to pretend they aren't breaking the rules, and the crying they will do for getting caught. You all disgust me with how pathetic you are behaving... The axe is not a sword... that's really simple That could be a practical and correct way to look at it, but with a little common sense, you know that's not what the gump is asking you. "common sense aint common..." All the AFK gumps show you 4 different icons, and always asks which it a different type of item.
@DaemonOfSiege don't take it so seriously I answered correctly to that gump, no one is crying about anything. But for some people who are new it might be not so obvious, that's all. For example, all shards where I played before had no LJ bonus to axe damage, so the difference between an axe and a sword was a bit thinner for me.
I don't think new players would consider an ax as a sword... At some point this crying people do over the system's attempts to stop players from automating gets really annoying.
Daemonofseige no reason to be such a jerk. my brother failed this today. convinced him to play and tonight he decided to try to log for his arrows. it brought up 4 items one would of been different but for him playing for only 3 days he said over discord that there was pile of bones and the guts but i cant tell what the other thing is and then this one looks like a mud monster of some sort. sounded to me like he was describing house deco items. i told him to select the mud monster figuring it was supposed to be a golem but before he did "he was scared to choose the wrong one" the timer ran out. he paged less than 2 min later and 30 min later still has no response. this system is fine but if your in young status its BS until your familiar with more of the items in game unless they can put in a young gate or something. its a good way for an absolute new uo player to quite before they get started due to a mistake. especially when they get on a forum and have to read your negative comments.
Reward players who continue to play by the rules...? "You've successfully answered 25 afk checks in a row and have been awarded a platinum coin."
Hold your ponies!! So you’re saying that the system don’t work? Because the first failure gets you 5 minutes in jail. If he was there for more than 30 then either he disregarded the first “warning” or the system don’t work. That is of course if he does not know how to junp through a gate once it opens and gave up 2 mins into his sentence.
I came across this thread earlier today. Pretty good laugh reading some of the comments. Got me wondering how long till i saw one of those make the right choice right now messages. Sure enough just a few hours later i got one! funny thing is I wasn't even macroing. I was making robes and selling them manually. I had been macroing before, but not within a few minutes of the pick your prize screen. I guess I am a machine?
I was picking cotton. as i dbl clicked, the gump appeared. don't know what i clicked but a second verification would be nice. i wouldn't know how to make a macro to walk around and pick cotton... i am still trying to find out how to bandage self with a hotkey. btw, been in jail, (gate does not work to let me out) with a GM call active... can someone how to set a macro to wait for a gm to respond and let me out of detention hall? 5 minutes, one hour , what's the diff?
That used to get me too. While not a complete solution, there is something you can do. The next time you get a anti-afk check gump, before solving (if you've plenty of time left) move the gump to a more suitable location on your screen, then solve it. On that character, the next time you get an anti-afk gump it will be at it's new location. G'luck and have fun.
