The Great Moonglow Bazaar! Sept.8th

Hello server, Krake here representing Project Sanctuary. We have a great event coming up and you all are invited to make it work! Please read the details below.


WHEN: Saturday the 8th of September from about 3pm to 430pm EST.

This will no longer interfere with anniversary events! Please consider signing up for a station .Woo!!


WHAT: A MASSIVE bazaar that is being set up around Moonglow!
------ Do you remember back on OSI all the trading that went around West Brit? The player vendors hawking their goods all around the bank! It was kinda chaotic, but a lot of commerce was happening. Do you want to relive why that was so great? Do you want to sell some good? Are you looking to pick up some stuff and barter for it?! This is what the bazaar is going to be all about.

Players will have the opportunity to sign up here and reserve a table for themselves somewhere around Moonglow bank. Player can then come and set up their stations and will be allowed to lock down an item or two on their tables to display what they are selling. Each station will have bank access no matter where they are placed.

Guards will be on the lighter side for this event, so keep an eye out and be safe!

Other fun things you ask? Why yes!
----- There will be a petting zoo, farmers market and open air blacksmith, archery range with prizes of some kind, Custom tavern scene, and 3 rounds of Hide and Seek*

-------* Hide and Seek: A PS player or ally will create a brand new character. They will dress, act, and be named like an NPC of some kind. When the round starts all of you player will have to travel around Moonglow Island and try to find this player. You will need to have an interaction with them and say a specific phrase, to which they will reply, and reveal who they are. You have won! Head back to the PS tables to collect your prize!
---- The phrase wont be released until the event starts. You will need to have an actual interaction with the fake NPC, so that means no running into a building and screaming all the names you can see and the phrase. That wont count. Like most scavenger hunt style events like this, there will be announcement in IRC as to when the fake NPC has appeared, and when they are found. Only 1 person will win each round, and like usual, the journal will break ties. We are planning 3 rounds, but maybe there will be more, who knows!


WHY: For fun, and community, and nostalgia, and making good deals. This is right after the anniversary celebrations so the idea is to keep the crowd around for a while and maybe buy or sell some anni gear at this bazaar this year!

WHO: ALL OF YOU! This wont work if we dont get players to sign up for station and if other players dont show up to buy things! We need you to make this work.


WHERE: Moonglow!


How to sign up: Reply in this thread that you want a station reserved and you shall have one. No cost. We will have to stop taking station reservations by Saturday evening of the 1st of September.


This is not just a conceptualization! Its actually happening! Deco is being created for it as we speak. Hope to see you all there.

I would love to sell my scribe goods and regs at this event!

Two quick questions:
1. I think this will be at 20:00-21:30 UK time (BST)?
2. Will one table be enough for what takes me three vendors at the Sanctuary Tradepost? I can have all my stock in the bank.

Ahh What a Great Idea...Can deff count me in as either a vendor or a buyer....Put me down for a stall.... if you feel you have to many stalls I will give my space up..

Yeah the idea is just to display a small sample of what you would sell using the stations, and then pull from the bank when sales are made because we will have access to the bank from pretty much anywhere.

UPDATE:

This event is going to change time and or date due to it interfering with an anniversary event! My fault for not double checking that.

New date/time will be posted soon, so with that being said, please consider signing up for a station! It wont conflict with anything else happening now! THanks everyone.

Hi everyone! Please post in this thread or send me a PM to get assigned a station. Depending on how much you have to sell, load up your alts' banks with merchandise and have it ready to sell at the tables.

I'll track those who have requested a table/station in this thread. You can also request a table for your entire guild, and have guildies walk around and call people to the table!

I belive there are some Stalls left...So try and get in touch with someone from PS about having a stall..

Even if your a new player and you only have some planks/cotton/bandages/ingots/Leather/instruments

Or a Bod collector and want to set up some sort of swap table,or plain out selling bods

Maybe you have to many instruments/vanqs/Maps/wands

Maybe your a PvPer and your table could sell body parts of your victims

Or maybe your one of the pro players and want to sell Rares!

Is a few stalls left get yourself a prime spot stall!!
