    Hello everyone,

I started playing on this great shard a couple of days ago and I figured I should introduce myself :)

I used to play UO, back in '98 shortly before T2A was released until '05 where I slowly felt the game wasn't really what it used to be. So I quit and started playing WoW the same year...just to hold me over until another UO-like MMO would come out. Well it's 2018 and that still hasn't happened. WoW is getting more ridiculous with every expansion and from what I've seen/heard (came back to OSI UO in '09 for a short time to check out Stygian Abyss) UO isn't doing much better.

So I'm here now. The king is dead, long live the king.
Right now I'm building my first character, helped by awesome initiatives like the resist event and new player housing in Ocllo. It might not be a strong template for PvM, but I'm going with a classic Warrior for now (Anatomy, Healing, Parry, Resist, Swords, Tactics a bit of Magery and for the rest I'll see). This is mostly for nostalgic reasons, because that's what I started with way back in the day. So a peace dexxer and other stuff is already planned.

One of my hobbies in UO was collecting rares, but due to me always being broke, I only collected cheap or weird items like Golden Mark Scrolls and Fruit Baskets. ;)
Collecting rare items was something that I really missed in WoW, there was just nobody interested in it. Which didn't stop me from doing it anyways, but it was much less interesting.

Right now I'm saving up for some magery training and a house. How's housing on this shard? I remember having to pay through the nose even for a small stone tower on Fel after UOR. Eventually I got a Keep, but that wasn't until I could place one myself when my shard turned into a ghost town (being broke all the time didn't help).

Eventually I'd like to find a guild or something like that, but right now I'm still trying to get everything set up and get accustomed to using Razor, which is a bit more powerful than how I remember UOAssist from 10+ years ago. Seems like it takes just 10+ years to forget how to play UO.

The only thing I'm missing is my Paladin with Enemy of One and Divine Fury. Good times, but ultimately AoS changed the game too much for me and the later expansions didn't do much to help.

Well, that's enough rambling from me for right now I guess. Thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to playing here!

Welcome! This shard is very much like the old days of UO. Housing for stuff like a villa/log cabin and smaller can be found roaming around. There are people here who collect rare items. Hit me up if you need some help and I'll what I can do

Welcome! You have a bunch of rares to collect :D

Check the webpage, you can see how many items of a given type are in the shard, ie. monster statues. That will give you an idea which is rare and pricy.

    Cheers

Looks like I've come to the right place.

Thanks for the great welcome everyone!

I've got a bunch of material to check and still a lot to learn. Back when I played UO there were a ton of templates that I didn't try, cause I usually pick something and stick with it for ages, so there's still new content/gameplay for me to discover.

    Welcome!

+1 love for rebuilding your original character template, even if that is not the best build.
