Hello all. Just wanted to introduce myself as I just joined the shard. I used to play on Napa Valley way back in the day (anyone else?), up until a bit after AoS was released. Anyway, I was stoked when I discovered this shard and am excited to log some serious hours macroing. I'll probably start with a strictly PvM character until I make some cash, then dive into the PvP scene. I see plenty of faction members, is Chaos/Order alive here? Also, Britain seems to be somewhat empty, do most people bank sit at Occlo? Are there any guilds actively recruiting? I'll probably discover all this myself soon enough, but any answers are appreciated. See you in game.

Hi Catfish! Welcome to UO:R There are some scattered order chaos fights, but most is red vs blue or faction vs faction. There are 3 active PvP guilds, and quite a few active blue guilds to choose from. Obviously SoF or SoL are the best, but not everyone likes being on the winning team, some people like a real hard challenge. Some people want to work tooth and nail for every gold coin they get! Wish you the best of it GL out there!
Thanks for the responses guys. I'm starting with a provo dexxer until I make enough to build a PvP character. As for challenges, I'm always down to be the underdog, but I'll probably need a bit of practice before I can come anywhere close to competing with the big guns.

Welcome to the shard.. I think the FORUMS/IRC = Brit Bank now of days... A lot of people avoid banks all together, but Occlo is busy, Skara see's some action. MG can get traffic... But don't be discouraged by the lack of players at banks. Enjoy the ride!

Welcome to the shard I am new here myself.I have been spending all my time working skills . Only thing I have not figure it out is the in game chat system but to be honest I have not looked to hard into it yet. Welcome to the community. South.
In game chat system is primarily text over your head when you type There is global chat for guilds and for party (initiated by \ and / respectively) which will put the text on the bottom left of the screen for everyone to see in that guild or party. Aside from using comm crystals, I believe that's all we have here. I think later iterations of UO had some sort of chat room type system, but that came later.
