Hey UOR! It's been a while since I've been around but I realized I never got the chance to say thanks and farewell to everyone I came across on the server during my stay here. It's been an awesome ride and even tho I spent most of my time playing the lone wolf, ranking myself to one of the three top liches slayers (can't believe I farmed enough to reach the all-time list even tho I could've aimed higher haha), every player I interacted with blessed me with an amazing experience. Be it giving me advice, helping me out with Yew's automated casino project or even forming new friendships. I never really intended to leave definitely and I still can't say that I won't come back but changes in my life lead me to take more time to work on personal projects and my art / career. Also, the death of my Father really brought me back and I quickly regained nostalgia for SNES RPGs (wich we loved playing together). I now spend the little time I have to game on replaying all the console's classics as he left a few behind. It's a shame I never got around to put together everything I aimed to accomplish but I apparently missed my refresh by one or two days a little over 6 months ago. Leaving behind millions in checks at the casino along with all my houses, including my beloved villa in cove and my stash house. (By the way, out of curiosity -- who ended up looting those IDOCs? At least hope some fought for it, haha I was clear at that moment that I wouldn't play again for a while, ha! By far the best private UO server and community I have played on. Oh, almost forgot - If someone is genuinely interested into the automatic dice dealer code and want to mess around with it and put it to good use, let me know. I missed last year's holidays events writing that thing haha
I think it's amazing that you played old school RPGs with your Dad. Sounds like a heck of a Dad. People like you will always be missed. Thanks for the pieces of history on UOR that you have left behind. Good luck with your art! God bless.
You will be missed @Medieval Name. You flashed ever so brightly here on UOR and impacted the community with your vision to add to and not take away from UOR. Real life matters most. If you find it time to return, you know we will be here for you. One of us! One of us! One of us!...
Take care! What kind of art do you work on? Sorry for your loss. I think quite a few of us here have a similar fondness for the SNES classics. My 6-yr-old and I just played through Secret of Mana on the RetroPie, which he loved (though didn't quite grasp the ending). Hopefully building some memories like what you had with your dad.
