I know the holiday mobs are upon us... so 1st question... Is there enough interest in a resist event during the season, or wait till Jan? This is basically 36 hours of standing in one place, afk... What would spice it up? What would make it worthy of Staff Notice... Plat statues that said... "I came for resist and got a lousy Statue" - cant just give stuff out for free... so put your noggins together... Donation box at V^V Castle is always available for Regs, bandages, checks... etc... Donations appreciated, but not mandatory, the event will run regardless... Stuff goes it, but cant be taken out... Gimme your thoughts and ideas !
Seeing as how I just dropped resist for tracking (poor choice of swaps) I would love to see this happen in January.
I've often thought what could spice up the tediousness of watching your toon incrementally gaining resist. I've mostly always been on the casting side too. Also extremely boring. I like the idea of a named item. Maybe a plain shirt that has a "I survived the V^V Resist event 2019" tag on it. I'd dig that.
Hey, New to the server - whereabouts is the V^V castle so I can drop on by some donations. Raising my resist is painfully slow, and now just end up using peacekeeping most of the time... Cheers.
@Chafe V^V is next to Vespar, South of the grave yard http://uorforum.com/threads/v-v-is-proud-to-present-uor-pre-halloween-resist-event.37160/ That is a link to the last event he had there with a map
1. What about....Door prizes based on X to enter and Y to leave. Journal based counting. Maybe requires a word spoken. "Greetings!" / "Farewell". As Chris uses with his hunt. 2. Harder to regulate as it needs an attendant. Possibly only "First 2 hours", or a rotation of attendants. One container given per entering char upon rez, some prizes within, traps in many. A form of roulette for giggles. No harm as everyone has already killed themselves to enter. Worst case you get another rez, best case a shiny something! Probably need to enforce the opening of container before access to cast zone... maybe a section with containers on the floor they must choose from instead of issued. *flash of inspiration* Resist Roulette! *shrug*
