Quitting this shard

We'll i for one am done arguing because the thread is derailed far enough and people will start getting involved and it will never end and I have other stuff to do at the moment, so I'm done for now.

I disagree, pvp builds are pretty easy, and you really don't need a ton of gold. If your worried about duels (eew) and crap I guess, but other wise, just get out and have fun. You can pvp with subpar skills. Just double up on the better guys. What gets annoying is when everyone starts to 7x. Like I said in another post, I used to go out with my brother and nude kill people on LS during ren. It would annoy the crap out of most because we would have STACKS of GM weapons (standard weapons work fine too) and loads of aids (we would only carry 10 aids at a time). After awhile people stopped bothering to loot our stuff because it did not stop us. We dropped quite a few people too. All for very little gold. People get worked up on skills and gear, when in reality you don't need much.

78 online at the moment. I imagine everyone is leaving cuz the skill gain is slow and the pvp is weak on purpose to cater to pvm and other trammy bs

The skill gain is fine here if you want to be spoon fed super easy characters there are plenty of servers that will cater to your needs. Id imagine pvp will get better now that the weapon/armor problem is being fixed as it should which opens other templates into the mix.

How is the pvp catering to pvm?

Skill gain is definitely not slow here. You must be doing something wrong. Ask for help in main irc.

Not much here to warrant leaving UOSA, I'm a casual gamer so establishing another set of toons on this shard that has basically proven itself to be A^T's playground and a magnet for douche-bag gank squads just seems to detract from the time I do have to play. good luck, God bless, hope things turn out for the best here.

I played the entirety of 1999, and that other server ain't it. Mission statement fail.

?? So confusing. It seems like people want to be handed everything. Its a sand box. Get in there and get dirty. Its not all about 7x gm's, Fortresses, and GOOOLD! Its the interaction of players. They kill you, get folks to kill them, you know socialize. You dont like A^T? Make an anti A^T guild and kill them on sight and than proceed to camp them. Fun times.

Brymstone, in case you hadn't noticed, you don't actually NEED to finish UO in 3-4 weeks. You can actually, brace yourself this may be hard to handle.....play at your own pace in your own way. I haven't seen more than two PKs together on this shard yet, so I'm not sure which 'gank squad' you're referring to. Honestly, Goon is the most prominent right now and he's terrible.

Want to know a secret? The time I've spent playing my Naturalist character has been some of the most peaceful, and unmolested gameplay I've had in UO in a long long time. It's almost serene. I'm on a shard that's still pretty new and fresh and honestly, I might drop my sword if a PK were to actually find me where I roam on that character.

This is UO and UO is what WE make of it. If you are not part of WE, then by all means, stop in some time in the future to see what we've made.

I am sorry, their patch date goal is Nov 99 last I read. Set in stone with little to no deviation. So yes they do fail.

Yeah. Getting blown up by people outside your tower/keep/etc, tons of monsters moving faster than the eye can see, ghosts not being able to see house decay status, and so much else there not worth mentioning is straight from Never-ember '99.
