Delete 50% of everyone's gold each year

All my gold is spent on pixels. Rest ive given away moslty in fish tourneys. I have less than a half mil atm so doesnt impact me much. @Baler I dont understand your outburst towards me.

Again, what is the problem? Do we really need a gold sink?

Prices too high? Items/Houses not available?

I think we are heading for a housing price adjustment, just my personal opinion, But with Plat adjusting downward from 10k per to as low as 4.5k, now settled in the 5.5-6k range, its not impossible that housing will adjust as well.

I have seen houses of all sizes come open for sale fairly often in the past 6 months, so availability is not impossible, just not reachable in terms of prices... Gold and Plat are not finite, houses are. So houses haven't hit a reset in prices yet. And people may be too emotionally attached to their houses and the prices they have paid for them to let them go. And without a reason or need to let them go, they will just keep refreshing them.

The only other high priced pixels are those that are scarce in the world, event items and the like, its their rarity and the prices some are willing to pay for them that keeps their prices where they are. All other commodities in game have been stable for quite some time.

I've only been playing UOR for a handful of months, and the only things that are out of reach for me to purchase are rare mega-high-end items that vets have put in years of work to farm up funds to be able to buy. I'm talking valorite runics, fortresses, masks of the wild, uber rare deco items, etc. I think newer players see the multi-million gp price tag on some of these things and thing the economy is broken because the price tags seem like they'll always be out of reach. But nobody needs any of these things to play the game and have fun doing it. They don't offer much (if any) advantage to the people that have them, but it's still something to strive for.

The things people really need in order to be competitive out in the world can be acquired pretty easily. I've seen vanq weapons sell on player-vendors for <5k. Barbed leather armor is effective and dirt cheap. A small house can store things well enough. Need a bigger house? You don't need a keep, a villa is plenty big for a small group of players.

I think they should double everyone's gold each year and keep a perfect balance.

Having been here for a month I can't say the economy is any more whack than any other server/shard, vendor items are reasonable and there seem to be plenty of vendors. That said, I am not in the rares market and really could care less about them. I have a small compound consisting of a small tower, a marble tower, and a stone tower that are basically on the same screen. This is all I need... well except gold, lots and lots of shiny gold!

I did run by a tower the other day with stacks and stacks of 1,000,000 bank checks... like 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 worth... (estimate). I was like.. that is kind of excessive... but hey.. good for them!

Make it 90%. Call it Democratic Socialism.

Yeah I'm guessing that's Captain Morgan's stash. He's quitting and planning to delete most of that gold, I believe.

House prices have crashed and only the unique and prime houses are desirable now.
I think this is mainly due too loosing so many of the vets in recent months along with rares and trammel.

It's a gold sink that's required. Maybe the items listed to come with the copper system (soon tm) should be listed as possible to pay with copper or gold along with some more stuff?
