Ok, he should have made a pinned topic "I won't be coding for the next XX days, I have a life outside this game" ... Do you feel bad because this didn't happen? I don't and I understand what is happening and I can live with it.

We always have info posts about what's next, this time we don't, something different happened, but again, I can wait for his next post, no hurry.

I'm a big vocal supporter of Chris and I've been given shit for that before. Players who've been here longer have always said to me, give it time and I've always thought "sure ok" and shrugged it off.

However. I think I've been here long enough now to see that yea.......it is actually a bit of bummer to have so many teasers put out and plans talked about with the trademark "coming soon" with little to no follow through.

Do I understand why? Yea, absolutely I do. But unfortunately that doesn't make it any less disappointing to see that these vets were actually right.

I was excited when outlands went live, not because of outlands but because in my head I'd attributed my attitude to the situation in the sense that competition has always caused me to knuckle down and come back at the competition 20 x harder. And that's what I was expecting. I think we all thought/hoped that outlands going live was gonna make Chris finally drop CUB, implement all this amazing shit that's been talked about for years, YEARS, as a fuck you. And when that didn't happen and there was 0 clap back from Chris - I for one was disappointed.

Do I understand why? Yea, he's just had a kid, has been fucked over before when he has let other people take the reigns a little. But it still left me disappointed.

Do I wish that there was someone, anyone, actively and visibly at the helm of this place? Absolutely I do. But I don't think it's going to happen anytime "Soon".

When I put myself in Sterlings shoes I understand his frustration, having been here a lot longer than I have and having experienced this way more than I have I understand where he's coming from. His delivery is shit, but I've come to expect nothing less from him. It doesn't necessarily mean that he's wrong. He's just void of tact. His whole crew departed and he's pretty much last man standing with his fingers crossed. I can't say that I wouldn't be doing or saying what he's doing or saying if I found myself in a similar spot.

I become father last year too...
In the begging this event mess all our personal/profissional life...
But after the first months of getting lost, all my life started to develop even better.. specially in my professional daily routine..
My layout becomes better(i am a graphic designer), my patience with clients become bigger... but first i need to have all of this tested while my son was too small and fragile. But is not just the baby and the lack of sleeping... we also have to give all the attention to the mother, and her needs... So telamon is not a human right now, he is just a new father... something like half human but with no personal needs or feelings... is just a creature that need to lead with two another humans and his needs... but he will be back soon, i am sure, with more energy and love for what he is doing.. i am sure after this break he will come back to make a entire revolution in this shard.. I am not missing him.. we are seeing lots of veterans like e keza, landar, jimmy, jupiter, candam, leopoold, and etc doing his events and giving all the hand the newbs needs on the irc chat... I think the shard is a greater moment, we are recovering the old online members numbers... i doesn't know if the older players are coming back or if this numbers are linked with a new player immigration. Maybe the SoF exodus make a great advertising about renaissance in the other shards..

And sandy, we don't hate PvPers... maybe you are talking about SoF. In this case, well maybe you are right. And all this bad feelings are not because they was doing PvP, i think is more related with the attitude of some of your members, like ress killing, pet killing talking, nationalism and shit talk on the forum and etc... what is different. To be honest i liked it.. In mine opinion you guys was trying to be the villains of the shard.. and you was doing a great job.. Every shard needs someone to be beated, someone that crate the worst feelings on the population... this is the spirit.. I always have fun reading those "we are better than you" topics and i never get pissed of with the res skills and pet kills(even if you reported or not). To be honest the shard is missing a lot the Evil Dead videos!

Life did not start here when you joined this server. Years before SOF was started PVP has languished in development hell. There has never been 1 PVP related update that i can think of except maybe buffing dexxer damage that was apparently broken since the beginning of this server.

@SandyRavage, I can see how someone who has been here awhile could be upset with things. Being fairly new still I do not know much of these past "frustrating events".

I am curious though as to what changes you would like implemented in PvP. I'm not saying its perfect now or anything I just would like to know what could be different.

Faction fixes!!! I don’t have time to go into detail but factions are the biggest driver of consensual pvp, they have been broke since day one. Multiple threads have been made, Chris acknowledges they are broke has never made any effort to fix either.

Funny thing is last March-May all the pvpers are fighting each other and PKing went to zero. We asked for faction fixes that should have been done in 2013 and Chris said he was busy and basically told us to F ourselves

Sandy i am just a new one here, but we also can bring new ideas and is good to see this on a newbie perspective... because is us that could join in this world and make it happens too.. i don't want to extend this thread more... But talking about PVP culture in the shard, and i already talked about it in another topics: when i came here i thought strange this faction system... in mine opinion this just make the process more complex.

I played in a shard where we had the guild wars implemented very well. Pvp wars based on guilds, not factions.. In mine opinion factions make the guilds less important, specially because they are based on territories, like magincia, vesper, britain and another ghost cities.. The pvp should be fun not just for those who participate but for those who want watch. I think when is based on guilds, would be easier to every one or every group to participate... no silver coin system, or special rewards, npcs, vendors and etc... newbie guilds could set war between each other without the need of being part of a select group of pVp players(faction) or the need of enter in a group with people you doesn't know.
