How helpful and friendly people are on this shard. I just had to say this because ever since I started again with a new char, people in dungeons have been very helpful and much of the time have asked me if I needed help - I don't particularly stand out as a noob the way I dress etc either. This is highly unusual and most shards I've played it's almost the complete opposite. Also, I died at a particular spot in a dungeon and had a big issue getting back to my corpse. Upon getting back to it around 20 minutes later, however, my body was bones but all of my items were in one bag - Is this a really nice gesture from someone who wanted to help and not want me to lose my loot? Or is this a feature where by if your body goes to bones a bag of items will appear next to the bones? Can anyone confirm? Many thanks
Someone was helping ya out. Welcome to UoR. We have a great community so don't let the bad apples stand out to ya when they do show up. Lots of people are willing to help retrieve your belongings though whenever you get into a jam. IRC is the uor chat room, basically the West Brit Bank of today. I agree with the Hollywood. Like any group there are of course some "bad apples" but if you stick around long enough you will learn that there are far more friendly players than unfriendly players. And also if and when you do have an interaction with someone that leaves you dead or with your bag with one or more less items in it, try not to take it personally (it's unlikely they were targeting you simply to ruin your day) and remember this is an online wizard role playing game. What people say in-game and especially on the forums is usually a good indication of their motives.
Play in renaissance makes me believe in the humanity. You also will gonna see the worst of our species here.. but here they are exception here.... I am doing well and a good share of what i got is friends gifts... generosity is the brand of the renaissancers... (or maybe people just pity me and give me things to see if i leave).
Even if you get PKed here, for the most part they will res you and only take your gold, regs and maybe something rare you may have had on you. Like a good weapon, plat, hcoins, etc etc. Very rarely will reds dry loot unless you talk crap to them and give them a reason to grief you.
Yes I've noticed. One guy PK'd me and another in Ice and put literally all of our stuff back in a bag and let it on the floor. He even ressed the other guy. It's nice to know that people aren't here for cheap thrills but rather to pvp and be fair. I'll definitely be recommending this shard to others.
very true let them take what the want and have there way with you get the res and go on....its part of the game That being said some arent so nice so dont go out with anything you arent prepared to loose
