Sincerely, thank you for making this shard era-accurate. I hate getting PK'd as much as the next guy but the Felucca ruleset is why I fell in love with this shard and UO in general back when it was what it was. There's nothing quite like the feeling of having a pack full of loot and having a red or two ambushing you.... almost stomach dropping. I've been both lucky and unlucky with my run-ins with murderers here but I wouldn't have it any other way. It's exciting. So at risk of sounding like a broken record, hooray for no Trammel, and hooray for excitement.
Stop recalling and fight back Mr orange... you've escaped me too many times from Arctic Ogre Lords in t2a. Remember our first encounter in Wind? You did well there!
Don't be fooled...I remember very clearly from OSI @Agent Orange and his skill in PvP. Just a feeling but stay on you toes
@Agent Orange did you play Atlantic or on a previous emu shard? (not the first but after age ) I feel like I remember the name
@merlin8666 This character is not tooled to stand around and fight back. I'm a provo/tamer with virtually no defensive measures aside from magery as a support. Most of the time I don't even have pets out except my mare that I typically use only as transportation unless I'm in a pinch. So you're damn right I'm going to high-tail it out of there when I have a stack of loot and red names approaching to stun and nuke me with purple pots and lightning wands. 9 times out of 10 when you do run up on me you are solo and I applaud you for that but no... I'm not going to stick around to give you an easy payday on this toon.
@Jeebs I did play on Atlantic but my main shard was Great Lakes. That's where I was 90% of the time. I didn't really play after AoS. Stuck around long enough to get my commemorative sandals/clothes and play around a bit on test center to see what it was all about but soon after started looking around on UO gateway for a free-server.
I remember you, I played GL as well. You were always in bucs. Hard to forget the orange hair. I also remember a thief named Muse during that time. Anyway glad to see my friend and I aren’t the only old GL players!
@trifectafunk Haha crazy that you remember Muse as well (guess you can't forget those orange pigtails). I had a thief in her guild back then too. Nothing beats those days back at Buc's gate. On second thought, what ever happened to Buc's? Seems like the safest city to afk now.
I just wanted to post to say I agree with this sentiment. A lot has to do with the quality of people here, but I've been on and off this server for literal years now, some pks are kinda asshat's and ruin the fun, others just make the game what it is supposed to be, a risk vs reward system. I will also add I've had the best interactions with PKS lately and thank you. I've had PKS kill me, take my things, then make sure I have some recall regs to get home. If I'm on my tamer, they aren't killing my pets even after I'm dead and not a threat. Which some pks have done in the past just to be annoying. Or for instance I made a mistake on one of my chars and died, I brought a second char to get shit settled and recovered, during that time a red showed up, and rather then making my life a thousand times more difficult and killing that character too, he actually asked if I needed help. I have no problem with someone who wants to be a murderer in this game, I have a problem with people who want to hinder my ability to have a good time. so again, thank you, current group of pks, for not being dbags. Thanks, it keeps me around and wanting to play.
