I dont smith etc. Just lookin for a regular old tower with as little spawn and neighbors as possible. Not overly picky, just dont want to be in the middle of swamp spawn or surrounded by a pk guild, lol
But from the looks of it, the server has slowed to a point where its basically only the idocers playing and selling to eachother, which means the housing market is slow and inflated.
Mmmm the market is strange lately! It's a buyer's market still but choice locations are still worth decent dough. Towers and larger don't come up here with much frequency but if you wait it out I'm sure you'll find the one! I'm looking for one myself but am being picky We sold a twin towers outside Trinsic gate for SUPER cheap a few months ago, wish I jumped on it.
A house is worth what the market bares. True, its a great time to buy right now but good locations still hold their value. In fact, given that all the good spots are taken, their value is through the roof. Millionaires bidding against other millionaires. Youre seeing that being played out with that mining tower. Whats crazy, is the guys with BOATLOADS of money arent even in the market anymore because theyre all chillin with 15 giant houses in 15 of the most prime locations.
That's a sweeping statement man, I've got "BOATLOADS" of money and I'm just sitting in a fort, Patio and L Brick compound set up. Pretty much all of my friends are in a single fort or a Keep. The problem is that lots of people who worked their way up to a fort, keep, or compound comprising of a bridged Keep or smaller homes in primo spots - don't play here any more. But are still checking in and refreshing. I would guess that a solid 60% of the large homes here are currently owned by inactive players not engaging in auctions, house sales or this server - other than refreshing. Myself included to an extent. Been this way for years. But I hear that exciting news is coming soon which should alleviate this.
The issue is, and will continue to be, that people who paid 10/15 mil for a Keep or 20-40 mil for a fort 6-12 months ago won't be able to recoup their gold if they sell. So, they'll hold instead. Until a time the market recovers or they go "fuck it". I'm not excited about the prospect of losing 15 mil if I sell my fort right now. I hustled hard for that cheddar. If my options are lose 15 mil or wait and hope for an economical pixel incline - I'ma wait. And by the current state of the trade forums that's what everyone else is doing too.
