What type of home do you feel most comfortable residing in on UOR?

TBH, my favorite these days is the Sandstone, with the small stone tower in close second. I've never been a fan of huge homes, as I feel they are unnecessary and isolating myself.

Even though I'm not a huge fan of the color, I find the sandstone to be perfect because you can section off different parts, access locked down/secured chests & runebooks on the roof, etc. and even display easily accessible vendors.

    What's your favorite and why?

Large brick for sure... Spacious and so much you can do with them.

Sandstones are nice for utility.. The porch can be used for a personal rune library or your forge for mining.

Other: Whichever one I can afford. Out of those: Small Stone Tower. I know it doesn't actually matter but I feel like they're more secure being stone lol.

Although I'm a minimalist irl, even a small house is too small.

Small house (any variation) I like the stone one though.
Keeps me humble, keeps the game fresh for me, and keeps me from becoming a UO pixel grind monkey again.

Keep because CY and I dont need the amount of room a fort and castle has.

I also like the sandstone patio. Roof and patio are great to utilize but not a big fan of the color either.

Large Brick. Doesn't feel like any wasted space or annoyances getting places. No stairs, extra doors, etc.

Plus, if I wanted to make it public, it's easy to partition off my private spaces by simply locking the back doors.

I voted Tower because on OSI this was unobtainable for me....If i could cast 2 votes, the small stone tower would take it. They are nostalgic for me because I spent years living out of one just a few screens north of the Minoc moongate on Great Lakes. #somanyfeels

I love living in a tower due to the efficient layout. Towers have a very generous number of secure containers and storage/useable space for such a compact footprint, plus handy interior doors. Keeps are good for pet training and having a courtyard, but very annoying to get around inside. A tower with a courtyard and an EQ-proof tile inside would be the perfect house in every way IMO.

Villas are also really nice (appearance and efficiently), so my 2nd favorite.

The bigger, the better. Lockdowns and secures are what I want most.

I went with Patio mainly for nostalgia I loved them on OSI and only got one at the very end of AoS when all of my friends had moved on. Too bad that counter isn't removable but still great form and function.

I love the 2 story villa. Got a little patio, second floor and a small balcony. I don't have that much stuff so it's perfect. Anything else and i'm going to have too much empty space.

The villa is my favorite. Has the space that I need and I don't mind upgrading with more lockdowns. It has a built-in security wall via the upstairs single tile hallway next to the banister where you can hide your trash barrel. You end up seeing just a fraction of the barrel itself, so it's not unsightly.

My only gripe with it is the lamp post on the patio. Would be cool if it had a better light source or if it were simply left to us to determine what to do with our precious tile space.

100% agree about the lamp post. I like the villa layout on the first floor but wish I could change the top floor. Always had trouble decorating it.

That top floor is a pain for sure. Had to take a different approach on my latest deco project, and after all this time I've finally landed on something I'm happy with.
