Re: SELLING: brown bear rug, facing south Private bid of 45k will end when there are no bids for 24 hours
Re: SELLING: brown bear rug, facing south lets try and make serious Bids Please ... 1g increases will be ignored! with Fairness in mind i am going back to the 45000 bid as High Bid! any further bids should be 5k increments!
Re: SELLING: brown bear rug, facing south Yeah, fairness, right.... My 40k bid sat there for 2 days, then you accept one 3800 over me and another at just 1999. Now you want make up some new rules, invalidate my bid, and milk this with some phantom "private bid"? It's tough to decide if you're scamming or just sloppy.
Re: SELLING: brown bear rug, facing south I was one of the phantom bidders. Meh, be pissed if you want to be pissed. Im out of this one now, no idea who bid the 55k, but good luck to them.
Re: SELLING: brown bear rug, facing south i was fine with decent bids ... but had to draw a line and put a limit on minimum bids when you started bidding 1g over previous Bid! for the record you were 4 hours short of the 2 day mark! Sorry for your Loss!
Re: SELLING: brown bear rug, facing south If you're just going to randomly make up shit, how about doing it at the START of the auction? PS: adding multiple !!!!s doesn't make it important, just silly
Re: SELLING: brown bear rug, facing south Don't go away Mad. Just Go Away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: SELLING: brown bear rug, facing south I really dont see what the problem is, someone asked when will this end. He told you. Then some one starts to do the 1g outbid bullshit, so he put terms in to stop wasting everyones time. If he didnt you would see this post full of 40001 40002 40003 40004 40005 40006 40007 40008 40009 Seriously..... I didnt win the auction, Im over it, so should you be.
Re: SELLING: brown bear rug, facing south The proper way to handle this (and I quite certain Darkwing knows this) is to post the rules UP FRONT. Instead he chose to let my 40k bid sit for 2 days. Only then did he decide that he'd let it run for 24 hour after the last bid. Plus he accepted the first petty bullshit bid of 43k after my 40k was already in. I made it clear that this was a bullshit bid by upping it 1gp. Darking accepted not only my 43801, but accepted another petty bid of 45k. Even once the auction was running he had the opportunity to do the right thing and simply say that all future bids would have to be in 5k increments.
Re: SELLING: brown bear rug, facing south Bullshit begets bullshit. Perhaps if you had made a mature statement regarding your opinion of the bid that was higher than yours, instead of being a child about it (1gp increase), you might have had a better result? Instead, you chose to be a chump about it and you can see how far that's getting you. Good luck in your future auctions. For what it's worth, the auction said 'Taking bids'. No where did it mention how long the standing bid must stand before a win, or any other options. If you wanted more details, you should have asked before bidding. Here is an example: I would like to make a bid, but can you tell me how long my bid must stand before I am the winner? I have had the highest bid for over one full day. Have I won or is there a reserve involved? Granted, in your defense the auction details were very sparse, leaving the door open for a mess like what we have here. Unforuntately for you and fortunately for DarkWing, there are no rules on this aspect and as such, the only one at fault here is you. /sarcasm Keep up the crying though, I'm sure that'll sway the auction in your favor more than a favorable bid would..... /end sarcasm
