I thought I could be helpful with someone else's problem this morning when I discovered that the ClassicUO client doesn't open from the Launcher. I did a uninstall/reinstall of the launcher, since I figured I may have messed something up when I initially installed the launcher. I even tried the powershell command Chris had posted, to no avail.

I know just enough about computers to keep myself out of trouble, but this is beyond my brain.

Here is the text from the crash log:

Any thoughts? The standard OSI client works fine from the Launcher.

Try unchecking "Use Classic UO Developer Preview" if you haven't already. It has the latest mods but can be flaky.

@Jill Stihl - it was unchecked by default. I tried both check and unchecked, and there was no difference.

Are you trying to run this in a VM like VirtualBox?

if the answer is no, then try updating your video drivers.

There are a couple of errors in my update history which I think are indicative of a greater problem with my computer than anything in the client files. It's an older laptop that i've repurposed to a UO-only machine, anyway. It still runs the OSI client just fine.

    Thanks for the responses, everyone.

In that case, you need to update your video drivers. You might have an Intel onboard video driver that is old.
