Can I just ask if its normal for other players to come along, and finish off a monster you have spent five minutes fighting, and loot their corpse from under your nose? I am a Young player, not even been here a week yet and this has happened a few times to me. I have just spent time wearing down an Executioner, for some feckwit to just hit it once, after he'd seen its health bar, loot the cash and p!ss off! I am not a happy bunny!
I don't believe that is the norm, but this is a Felucca based sandbox MMO. People do what they like, and sometimes feel the consequences of that. Ultimately the solution to issues like the one your'e experiencing fall on the player experiencing them.
Thanks for the info - I didnt realise it was Felucca based, but not a problem. I am new 'old' player - I played 20 years ago, and not played for a loooong time - but I'm getting it all back
In Razor there’s a tick box for auto open corpses within (X) Feet. Tick that. Then go into agents and go to restock macro. Add gold, platinum, holiday coins. Assign that restock agent to a macro key. Now, next time that bottom feeder try’s to chief your cheddar cheese, stay on what you were fighting, it’ll die, press that restock macro immediately, it’s corpse will open and the container, aka - the monster pack, is the only thing in the corpse click on that container with your targeted cursor and watch all the good shit fly into your bag before the body hits the floor.
Thank you so much - already have the open corpse thing ticked, but he got the gold before me - still struggling a bit with macros!
This. The same thing happened to me once or twice. There are always going to be opportunistic shit heels in MMOs like this. But, in my limited experience, they're the aberration here. I've lost count of the times people have either helped me beat down a baddie or have dragged me into an instance--just because i was nearby--did most of the heavy lifting against the mobs, and still gave me an even split of the loot. Don't let the miscreants unhappy your bunnyness. This shard is awesome.
It's also perfectly fine to post the names of the players who do this to publicly shame them. No rules against that as far as I am aware. A majority of players on UOR are very nice, helpful people. But as with any group, we have a few incredibly selfish people who think only of themselves.
You need to see how fast people loot i the public events. When i go to some of this places i not even try to loot. Thats why is important find a good group to hunt with.
Also depending on your ping you may need to adjust the item delay. A faster ping and you may be able to lower the delay and a slower ping you may need to add some to it. Optimizing the item delay will make looting with a restock macro more efficient. Good luck out there.
