Pirate Tamers have appeared again! This summer the pirates will be out with new crews, new beach front camps, and new treasure! In addition to the new, pirates will mostly be found out at sea like the Pirate Tamer Voyage of last year. Your only hint to their locations is that it will NOT be near towns & NOT in t2a (lost lands). I apologize in advance for the many AFK fishers who will fall victim to these dreaded pirates. How long will this event run? It looks like there will be some overlap between this and the Memorial Day Fishing tournament. Now you're making me choose which guys i'm sending out on my boat!
Oh dear.... I just set a young lady to train in fishing in Hope's of sending her out for the tournament this weekend. Hadn't planned on having her ready for this level of danger.
I am one of the oh dears people! Will I be able to fish in the ocean if I have 3 fisher ladies with magic skills? Hubs says I'll need a tamer which I WILL NOT DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will I? <3 Ish
The pirate tamer ships at sea do not move. If your watching your fishers for AFK gumps (as you should be) then you can always avoid running into the pirates. However, if your AFK and your fishing macro randomly runs you into a pirate ship... expect death.
Well that's a relief. I was afraid there would be mobs of npc vessels tracking us down. I'm always on board so I should be able to navigate safely.
This is neat! And love its happening during the fishing tournament eventhough it can put me in jeopardy. Good thing I just finished my 3rd fisher that has tracking, so I can track those wretched ships and avoid them as, unfortunately, I don´t have the means to fight them.

The beach camps feature 5 unique boss types, dont miss out on the action!
So there I am, working from home during this Covid-19 BS. I take a little break and check discord. I see that a pirate camp has popped off. Now, I have done about 4 of these so far, all with my tamer with some success each time (some plat and some statues. But this time I knew I didn't have enough time to go get my tamer + animals, etc. So I hop on my thief and see if I can grab anything. Never really used a thief at events but thought "what the hell". So, I get to the camp and the boss is just starting to be attacked. Full health. I say to myself, let's go snoop this guy's pack. 100% - 65% - 35% - I am quickly getting ganked by some sort of AOE. I hop out heal myself and hop right back in. I snoop the Boss' pack and see a weird looking sword. I don't even click on it to see what it is. Hit my steal macro and run like the dickens.
