What is the reason people are leaving large groups of animals in random spots. Such as yesterday someone putting about 20ish grizzly bears in the pen by the Cove stablemaster and just this evening I came across about 15 bulls on a random rooftop in Nujel'm Are you really that bored? Sheesh.
There is a section here in Forums called: "Photography & Videography". subfolder "Top Shots" which gives players a place to post pics and videos of interesting places and adventures they've had. They are typically about UOR -- but not always. There is a new contest every month. I believe there are prizes given to the top 3 players each month. Everyone gets a chance to vote for their favorite and the one who gets the most votes, wins. Then for the next top 2 vote getters, 2nd and 3rd place. Right now people are posting for the month of August. The photos / videos are amazing and some are actually down right funny. Check it out.
The grizzly bears was me! I did it at Minoc, Cove, Brit castle, Trinsic and 1 other but can't remember. I was having fun with something and didn't actually plan on doing it for top shots. Someone mentioned to me that I should though so I did post a shot there
Once an animal is tamed, the spawner no longer counts it towards the max limit set and will spawn another wild one. There is a small % chance that it will be a Raging Grizzly spawn. Taming animals and moving them off and NOT killing them does not negatively affect the spawner
People are buying grizzlies from the stables. Apparently you can spawn a raging grizzly this way. Keep buying, chance that it will be raging.
Had to jump on test server and try it... 127k gold later it seems to work. I wonder how big a lotto roll that is on average though. Someone with more time is welcome to run the math on that. (3167 gold/bear).
The ingenuity and tenacity required of UOR nerds to find shortcuts like this never ceases to amaze me.
Seems you were quite lucky Keza, took me 175 grizzlies bought to get a raging (also on Test server...I don't have that kind of cash)....so just about 555k which is a bit more than double the market for a tamed one. Interesting little lotto to play around with from time to time maybe. So thats 2 grizzlies in 214ish bears...so likely is around 1 in 100 chance on a spawn or buy....so on average would settle around 317k a bear...still higher than market but not horribly so over time...of course...a worse streak than mine is possible and could end up a million+ gps grizzly. Interesting to know anyway...I wonder if it will stay in or be patched out at some point.
I did it here hence all the bears I ended up with 2 but don't need to talk about how much gold I just spent lol
