Hello everyone, in my time here I have learned that veteran players slowly settle into little nitches or specializations. Some examples are, Ironmaning, T-hunting, fishing, rare hunting, collecting zookeeper animals, ect... This mostly applies to players who have been here for over a year and found that sweet spot for themselves of enjoyment & profit in a single activity. I ask about this because it could help with future event planning. Maybe there is a whole nitch within the game that could be expanded on for an awesome event but I just dont know about it. Also, its really cool to hear about uncommon parts of the game being mastered or used in ways you never imagined.
I'm not sure talking shit in Discord could be tied into an event. It'll be interesting to see what niche ideas others provide though.
Not a veteran by any means, but something I´ll keep doing over time are BODs for sure. Hours can go by easily while at it
I'm waiting on the legendary AMIB updates, but I usually do AMIBs. Otherwise, while I wait, I'm doing tmaps.
For me its rare hunting, some iron man, and long term goal of trying to finish decorating houses. Although just running the instances with my wife is a ton of fun. Doesnt have to be iron man. In fact, once I have done that, I prefer to run them with her way more.
i have soloed all champs except oaks & harrower. but thats not gonna happen anytime soon. personally, i think, a season event oriented champ(all year long) would add some fun. elven champs, halloween champ, valentine champ. all in newly designated places in the world.
I make goofy characters, train them up, then have too poor a connection to use them. im gonna try to stay young forever is young and laggy a specialization ?
I enjoy collecting NPC hue cloth, and using it to match outfits with rare drop wearables or mounts of the same hue. I find these cloth hues look really authentic, and some of them are quite rare. I sometimes sell cloth or outfits to folks who are looking to match stuff up.
constantly rerolling toons for new templates, or tweaking templates or trying a new skill. Adding template constraints, such as dedicating 100 points towards mining, make up for some really fun challenges - like the recent popularity of the Elementalist. Poisoning, cooking, spirit speak, lock picking would all be interesting challenges.
I have also been collecting NPC robes...mostly mage robes. I didn't think to cut them into cloth. Are the NPC mage robes rare or worth a lot? I just started in Dec.
Loitering on foot, eavesdropping, blocking tiles, peeping into door locks, dungeon chests, pursuit, killing people with a minimum of health, traps, flattery and lies, poisoning, put stools for feet in narrow places, look at the starry sky while sitting on your corpse, collect the heads of famous nerds. I respect you as people, but in the game I am a bitter character.
AFK, disorganization, grateful to do whatever whenever, fishing, farce, jest, collecting, observation
You sir have a beatiful collection! Im also gathering npc hues for some time, but not even near to have it organized yet. I need to redo my sotrage (all my tower is taken mostly by deco) and start sorting hues, which will be a major task given all the cloths I have (and everyday I keep bringing more hah)
