Greetings to all, I used to play UO between 1998 and 2008 on the Europa server and thought I would give it a revisit and chose UOR. Installed and running fine and happily running around Ocllo in 'young' status trying to get to grips with it all again. I have downloaded and installed UOAM, got it to run and display maps but I can't get it to track me. I used to run it back in the day especially for tracking resource grids. Not sure if UOAM is still viable to use but all help will be very much appreciated. Many thanks Gary
Assuming you're using the launcher the default (CUO) client has a world map built in that does almost everything uoam did. It's off the top menu bar. You can get uoam to work but it's a bit of a faff You'll find most of us in the UOR Discord for quicker/more answers to questions nowdays - https://discord.gg/9JtUTdP Welcome back to UO
As posted on Discord, for anyone else that is searching for this:- GarysLittleCorner — Today at 23:22 First off, thanks to @Jill_Stihl ☕ for answering my post on the forum. With regards to the 'world map' in UO, is it possible to get it to act like UOAM so that you can have the resource grid and mark sopts on it for ore and trees? Jill_Stihl ☕ — Today at 23:24 Ore and oak surveys have already been done for much of the land and just need enabling in options - Grid view is in Beta and will be on the general release soon hopefully Right click the map to see those options GarysLittleCorner — Today at 23:25 They do not appear to be there on my install Miller — Today at 23:33 C:\UORenaissance\ClassicUO\Data\Client remove the .x and then right click the world map and refresh it Stormwynd — Today at 23:44 If anyone is ever interested in an easy command to give someone: Open up Powershell and paste the following to enable the other two maps dir C:\UORenaissance\ClassicUO\Data\Client\*.x | Rename-Item -newname {[io.path]::ChangeExtension($_.name, "")} that'll get rid of the .x on those two files
