Impressions/Feedback from a returning player

I had some time to really dig in this weekend and had a good time. Thought I would give a little feedback.

Almost have enough for a small tower.

Healing is going up slower than I remember as I do not have a house yet for macroing. I would have started with 50 healing in hindsight.

The "seesaw" stat method works. Love it!

I tried to make a third account, it wont let me.

I am not sure where I got it from, but I have 1 holiday coin. Saw it by accident, so dark. Been killing elves and ice snow golems/ vortexes. NOT easy lol.

Newbies watch out for the elves with bows.

The people who have vendors right next to the Occlo portal are not selling items new player need and can afford -- missed opportunity.

Found a vendor with GM swords/axes/spears west of Yew portal.

I read the guide on BODs. I wish these were not in the game. Found a vendor with gold runic made weapons selling for $300k each. That system is crazy time consuming and I am sure balance destroying. I can see going up against a PK who has been on this server for 8 years and losing that spear in 5 seconds.

Haven't found the mobs that drop tribal spears and masks. Maybe they are out there.

I wish all the graveyards had at least one lich.

Send a help page in game. The staff is more than happy to help with this issue.

During the Xmas event, use that coin to make a counter in the game showing you if you have any on you so you don't miss them. I have counters set up for all the scrolls. I also have Razor set up to make a distinct noise (not found elsewhere in game) that tells me if I got a scroll, coin, or statue.

Hi, im a returning player as well from years ago and just got my "lap top" running well enough to run uo so I'm stoked.. currently in occlo gringing as a newb and trying to save for a house.. I'm not sure house the population is here but I like the basic classic uo and all these other servers are just doing to much.. I have an old account I made over 3000 days ago but I'm not sure how to access my rewards if anyone can help with that. Where does everyone hang out and what's the population like?

hearing you say you got a laptop to run uo has got me excited too! i know the feeling of not having a computer for a while and then getting one and finally being able to get back to uo. i am happy for you!

as for population, UOR isn't the server with the highest population however it is definitely in the top. top 3 i believe. however it is a much better server than the rest if you try them all you will see that the ping here is excellent, it is very well managed by a team who cares, and it makes for a very good quality experience compared to the others.

where do people hang out? well there are two spots mainly, one is in Occlo where there is a "new player dungeon" where you are able to secure much treasure and gold to get yourself started. and the other place is the event centre, reachable by going to any moongate. think of it like the marketplace of Lord British. there you are free to make trades and leave your character afk with no danger of being stolen from or harmed in any way. it is a safe place for us to do business and make transactions.

me personally though you can find me running back and forth through britain or vesper usually!

I used to like Vesper, mostly for its plethora of water access, but I consider Trinsic my hometown these days.
