I get asked a lot on how I do all those MiBs, so here:

    Tools you need:
    A) UOAM
    B) Google Sheets
    C) Notepad
    D) Patience

    Step 1:
Open the bottle and extract the message
    [IMG]

You only need to concern yourself with the coordinates at the bottom.

    Step 2:
Go to: Google Spreadsheet for MiBs
This is a copy of my sheet. If you mess with the code here you're hurting your fellow players, not me. I will not repair/replace this sheet, make a copy for yourself to ensure safety.

    Step 3:
Input the coords from the MIB into the spreadsheet.

    Step 4:
Copy the YELLOW hued area of the spreadsheet, only copy the rows of MIBS you entered.. Using the above example you would only copy the first row that has a valid MIB coord, the remainder of the rows are the "zero" coords to LB Throne.

    Step 5:
    Open Notepad
YOUR FIRST LINE OF THE CODE SHOULD BE THE NUMBER THREE (3)
Paste what you have copied below the 3:
Once you have this you then need to save the file as a .MAP (NOT A .TXT FILE) file in the UOAM main file directory (I will not tutor you how to do this, hint: you may need to edit security to the UOAM folder within Windows)

For the purpose of this guide I have named my file "SOS.MAP"

    Step 6:
Open UOAM, open settings, go to Files tab, and select your custom map.

    Step 7:
This is what you should see if you did everything correctly
    [IMG]

Now all you have to do is input the coords from ALL your MIBs into the spreadsheet and follow these instructions, you should have a finished product that looks something like this:

Drop a marker on the MIB & Set Sail

Nice! I wish I had know this prior to manually putting 95 MIBs into UOAM last weekend! :)

Super basic question: why do you want all of your MIBs mapped in UOAM? Is this to help you figure out which order to do the MIBs? Or can UOAM communicate with the client and direct your boat for you?

It's just for route planning. UOAM doesn't do any maneuvering for you

OK, so you plot the MIBs and you set sail for the first one. Then what? What does "drop a marker" mean? And if it involves one single MIB, how do you find in a big bag the one you plan to go to first?

I'll put around 100 in a bag. I'll plot all 100 on the map. Keep the bag on your fisher.

Right click on UOAM and select "drop/pickup marker" on top of a plotted MIB. On your UO screen UOAM will send a "Marker Southwest" announcement every so often, using that plus the map helps you navigate to your spot. Once you fish up your MIB just find the next nearest MIB on your map and drop the marker there, rinse repeat.

This is almost as good as the invention of bacon !! Thank You, Nice Work !

On a side note, since my laptop has been to hell and back, I didn't have a word processing suite, so I came across, what seems to be very good so far, Apache Open Office 4.1.1 (Freeware). Now I have my spreadsheet saved on my drive and am happier than a fly in...well, you know what I mean.

It didn't take long for someone to destroy the spreadsheet.

Because I don't want to be responsible with repairing/replacing the spreadsheet after every time a child destroys it I am keeping to my word and I will not be fixing what was done.

If someone else wants to take up that responsibility, more power to you.

In the newer versions of razor, you can capture the coords and save some manual steps

Make sure this box is checked (on the skills tab) in Razor version 1.6.2.23
    upload_2020-3-3_13-53-46.png

Then, open the SOS and it should say that it captured the mib

In your razor folder, you should now have a file called "Mib Capture", open that

Copy and paste those entries into the conversion google doc

Then follow the directions to put those into UOAM - SEE STEP4 in the original post
