1v1 and possible 2v2 weekly player run tournaments

An idea of mine is to run some tournaments and see how it goes. I would like to see who would be interested in this so I am just gonna give it a go and see how it works out.

1v1 7x standard tournament being held at Saturday at 8pm cst. If interested post here so I can put you down. I don't expect the first couple I throw to have 50 people in it so the prize for this week will be 1st place 60k 2nd place 30k 3rd place 15k. These will of course get bigger if the number of people grow.

Rules:
1) Red pots standard fighting(I don't want the match to last 45 min for 1 fight)
2)Purple pots will be allowed during these fights but poison will not.
3) No precasting, No buffs on before the wall drops.
4)No wands and GM weps only.

More rules may be added as I think more about where I want to go with this.

Of course no ganking, or griefing or you may not be allowed to come back in the future and possibly banned. This is all a trial run so please bear with any bumps in the road we may occur.

Despite any misgivings or grievances you may have with the host, I have provided Hazy with Friend level access to the guild hall. Anyone in violation of the rules set forth for the events will be subject to removal or banishment if they do not cease their rule breaking.
I will not be a judge so do not air your beef with me. Unless you bring some evidence in the form of screenshots or video of being treated unfairly, I will assume that all reprimands have been handed out in accordance with the rules.

If you wish to take out your grievances on any participants or spectators at the events, please do so outside the guild hall on your own time. If you violate this within the walls or CY of the guild hall, you will be subject to permanent banishment from the events.


I will also be doing some decoration changes in the coming weeks to attempt some other event types like King of the Hill, time providing. I have a lot of huge work projects coming up so my time is going to be sparse in game.

I'm down.... as long as I am home at that time. I didn't see any mention of a buy in, but I'd be down for that as well to increase the overall pot. Say like 5-10k per person buy in.

If people want to buy in that is fine, this is a spur the moment idea for me so at the moment that is the gold I can come up with. I haven't been farming much do to 60+ hour weeks at work. In the future I would love to be able to cough up more money to 1st place. This is more of a trial run to see who is interested and who would be willing to do these when they have time so there is going to be plenty of bumps in the road until I have a set system for this.

I don't see why we can't just continue the tradition of Friday Night Fights? There are many suitable arena around the world! All you need is the MC.

For starters, Friday's are a terrible time for me personally and always have been. I work on Saturdays and tend to go out in the RL on Friday evenings. Saturday evening and Sunday-Monday are the only times I can game seriously without interruption.

Because I am not trying to continue any tradition. Especially someone else tradition. As Blaise stated his schedule is about the same as mine work wise, Saturday night I am usually free to do as I please.

Right, I'd be out of it was Fri-Sat more than likely. I am always tied up over the weekends.
