It was early this morning I heard the King of the Resist Session hath put a heavy bounty on the head of the notorious resist-session fiend Matron de Winter. Her home was fortified - my bow could not find line of sight across the lower walls. But she seemed to be caught in a trance while utilizing the top turret. Quickly I sprung to action, erecting a Marble Workshop in virtually no time at all... erecting a ladder... and drawing back my Orcish Bow, hoping it would have the distance. And indeed! Though my aim was far from true at this distance, it took about 25 arrows to slay the witch. Not knowing what dark magic she wrought over the polar bear, it required euthanization as well: And alas, one more polar bear was saved from the vile clutches of the dark magic.
Thanks Dalavar! The Mad King has his way. A little bonus for the epic proportions and a speedy turn-around. I believe there's still another opportunity with the snap dragon character. Good luck <snapdragon[cA]> ill be on that bear next christmas <Blaise> doubt it <Blaise> but best of luck to you
Thank you kindly, the bounty was paid promptly and with gratuity. The UO gods did not look kindly upon the killing of an innocent - much karma was lost. But as a ranger, it is my duty to ensure nature is never enslaved by sorcery. Should another opportunity present itself to free a bear from the clutches of the dark elven magic, I will not hesitate.
I just want to take this opportunity to restake my claim as the best thief in Ultima Online, due to my ability not to go AFK right in the open on a polar bear.
This was obviously a scam, you can see the photoshop lines around the keep walls, and the shadows don't line up!
My favorite version of this story is the one where Dalavar & Snap teamed up to claim the bounty from Blaise to split it.
100k and an 1109 sandal tip. This bounty only applies to snap dragon and requires polar bear dismount and/or death of rider and mount.
I am disappointed that I've been working on characters more than I have my bounty list, but I am happy to see that I've got others going after said bounty of public hits. This is what I was aiming for, competition.
At this point, we can assume the snap dragon character that was riding a polar bear is now rebuilt into a 7x crafter that doesn't leave town. lololol
They had it pretty safe, but failed to consider the wonders of the orcish bow and its 12 tile range, I guess.
