Well, I'm hooked. I've been here a little over a week, and this is the style of UO that I always loved. My compliments to the staff. I just wanted to say "hello" and say a few things about myself It has been a few years since I quit my UO subscription. The game became something so complicated and overdone that you needed to consult a set of spreadsheets before attacking a monster. Renaissance was the era I truly enjoyed. Simple, balanced (mostly!), and fun. I recently had the bug and went looking for a server running this ruleset. I found it! Who am I and where did I come from? I played UO Siege Perilous as Py Lethius for a number of years, and long before that on Napa Valley as Ajax. I enjoy roleplaying my characters to the hilt. I like a little PvP, a little PvM, a little wandering, a little dueling, a little crafting, and for some reason I like lumberjacking. The quiet of the forest, the birds... I enjoy PvP, but I am terribly rusty. I expect to faceplant often in the beginning, and hopefully this will decline. I had my first PvP encounter last night, but it didn't go well. I got locked into running north and south and had to recall away from a 1 on 1, for shame! The nice people in IRC told me I should have a 'sync' hotkey. Next time, I won't run! I've met some old friends (from Siege Perilous) and made some new ones already. Look forward to clashing with the Urks in particular. Right now, just focusing on getting established. I should probably have more than 2 suits of armor in the bank. (Thanks to Grizz for the other one!) I am quite pleased to say I placed a log cabin last night (after a marathon tailoring session and many elementals slain). Woot! If you see me riding around, feel free to say hello. Or attack me. It's all good! I am on the side of the "good guys", the peace-loving people, but I won't judge you red or blue, only by what you do. (unto others! or unto me ) Cheers
