I was in Skara Brae and it kept going from light to dark, as I was walking North. I am used to this when I cross into night while moving to the East and the sun is setting in the West. But in Skara Brae today, it was night in one spot and just a few steps away was daylight. It could be daylight to the East and five or six steps to the West would be nighttime. A very interresting anomaly.

I have my system set to "Dark Nights" as I enjoy the challenge of having to drop my shield and take up a torch or lantern, which I think is why I noticed this. This is a very interresting, and fun, anomaly.

This is actually a side effect of another system that is currently in place which is overriding the normal light levels that occur across the world. This has been the case for quite some time, though most players haven't noticed it due to the vast majority of users filtering light levels through Razor. This anomaly will be corrected soon.

Aye, I was noticing that light levels only function currently in guard zones, and private structures as well. Then I was wandering on my Naturalist char and found these patches of proper lighting out in the wilderness.

As it turns out, treasure map locations are functioning properly as well. :)

Just thought I'd share and contribute to the desire for the proper function across the lands, however low priority it may be ;)

This was mostly resolved with the removable of the housing restriction zones, however some custom zones will still ignore the global light level to show the default level for the zone. This should be resolved in a future patch.
