Story of Tiophi: My family was not rich nor powerful, my father created the furniture for the palace, and my mother tended to the royal family. I was very young, and only completed a year of education before an evil force presented itself. A mysterious man arrived for a short time, but after he left is when the worst began. Our people became very ill, along with my mother, her skin started to turn scaly, and legs began to fuse together. My mother told my father to take me far away, as I have not become sick yet, he agreed and we said our good-byes to my mother and set off. I could hear the wretching screams echo through the palace and for a great distance during our escape, the sounds became less human. My father closed my eyes so I could not witness the tragedy that has fallen upon our people, I do not know what has become of them. I hope they will be okay, I will return one day and hope to see the princess again. While on our journey across the desert we ran into some ugly grunting men, I could not understand their tongue but they were much larger with very poor posture. We hid behind a rock but they noticed our scuffling, they approached and that is when my father confronted them. They asked for some goods and he had none so they started beating him, two of them took him away as three came to look search for me. Just then they stopped, one burst into flames and the other two ran away dropping their weapons. A large shadow appeared over me, frozen in fear I could not open my eyes. It picked me up and I screamed for help, it was of no use... I have lost everything, I thought, as everything went black. I woke up to a much more scary sight... she was huge with one large eye. I thought I was going to die but I am very much alive and have food around me, not quite the food I am used to, but I was so hungry, it did not matter. She became my new mother for a much longer time than I have spent alive, I would say. I miss my father and often wonder if he is alive as a captive, but could I speak to him? My native tongue is a distant memory, I no longer can speak clearly but can think and use body language, it was very hard to communicate with my new care-giver. I was taught survival skills, but could not control magic such as her. While we were training we must have drawn attention from a large group of those horrible men from before. They had some of their own magic casters, and a lot more brute force... we could not stop them. My new mother was slain and I was taken prisoner. I was held at a large wooden fort until the third winter, I saw him... my father in poor shape using his crafting skills on the far side of the courtyard. I tried to speak but was quickly silenced. Ten nights later I managed an escape. Now, I am living in the wilds surviving, but I will find a way. I will destroy them one by one for I have nothing, and will do anything to grant my father his freedom. I will not stop until I have each of their blood on my stave. I have tried to enter a few towns but was quickly dismissed, called a savage and who knows what else. I will make use of tools from the towns after night fall... they will not sell me anything and I would rather not cause any further troubles, as I have my hands full already. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The survivalist: For some reason you can't start with tinker tools so I bought some, I bought a few small items before I placed my character out In the lost lands. This will follow a majority of the rules as the naturalist except with very little interaction with the towns (mostly just to create bandages by sneaking into tailor shops at night).
