A NEW PLAYER'S GUIDE TO IN GAME COMMANDS Basic Town Commands Vendor Buy - When next to an NPC that has items for sale, this will open up a window displaying that vendor's goods. Vendor Sell - When next to an NPC that will buy your goods, this will open a window displaying what they are willing to purchase. Vendor Teach - This will prompt the nearest NPC to tell you what he or she can teach you (For a fee of course!) IE: Joe teach mining. Joe will respond with something similar to, "For 302 gold pieces I can teach you what I know. For less, I will teach you less." Meaning, for 302 gold he will teach you up to 30.2 mining skill. For anything less, you will learn less. For instance, 200 gold will only get you to 20.0 mining skill. (HINT: To to Weaponsmiths to sell/buy weapons, Armorers to sell/buy armor, Tailors to sell/buy clothing, Fletchers to sell/buy bows, arrows, bolts ect. This list could go on for quite a while, but hopefully you get the point.) Guards - Will call the guards to your aid if something illegal is happening within the guard zone (Hopefully) Bank - When standing next to the bank, this will access your bank box Recdu Recsu - Magic words that will teleport you to either Moonglow mage shop from Papua mage shop and visa versa. You need to be standing on the pentagram in either of those mage shops for this to work. Cross - This will get you accross the Skara Brae channel if you're standing on the small boat. Boating Commands All in game commands for boat travel should have macros set by default. You will need to turn the numlock off to use them. Raise Anchor - Required to get moving! (Alt + numpad 1) Drop Anchor - Required to dry dock your boat and to refresh it, but it will not float away if you do not drop the anchor. Apparently UO's water is without a current. (Alt + numpad 3) Forward - Propels the boat forward at full speed. (Alt + numpad 8) Slow Forward - Propels the boat forward at half speed. (No macro that I know of) Backwards - Propels the boat backwards at half speed. (Alt + numpad 2) Right - Propels the boat to the right (without turning) at half speed. (Alt + numpad 9) Left - Propels the boat to the left (without turning) at half speed. (Alt + numpad 7) Turn Right - Turns the boat right. (Alt + numpad 6) Turn Left - Turns the boat left. You to Amranth (mage): "Amranth join mage guild" Amranth: "Drop 500 gold on me to join Guild of Mages" By being in guild you get lower prices and most NPC businesses have guilds.
To Thief Guildmaster: "(NPC Name) buy disguise kit". The disguise kit costs 700 gold pieces which must be paid for by dropping the payment onto the thief guild master after the buy request has been spoken.
