Citizens of the realm, a patrol has gone missing! They left on patrol and never returned. Their patrol route took them through the dungeons Covetous, Hythloth and Bucs Den. Be on the look out for any signs of their patrol! Long live the King!

    *a scribbled response*

I shall send a scout to search the surrounding woodlands and interrogate and exterminate any foul creatures in the area and search for clues.

    best regards,

    Jupiter

    Jupiter... Jupiter come in.

Have you finished combing the desert? Have you found anything yet?

I managed to slay a troll between diaper changes and son's soccer practice... The troll held no clues, the diaper gave no respite, and soccer practice left me exhausted.

I shall try to slay a few more later.

Further patrols have returned, Covetous has been cleared and no sign of the lost patrol was found. As our guardsmen refit I urge anyone traveling to the remaining areas stay vigilant. Report all findings of the lost patrol so we may follow up on any lead.

Several days having passed, it is less and less likely that the lost foot patrol could be found.

Jupiter started searching the areas last seen. Arriving near the woods outside of Covetous and near the portal to the Buccaneer's den, Jupiter found a man lying in the dirt. "Was this man part of the lost patrol? or merely some eager new sword hand, who was too anxious to cross blades with the warmongers?"

Jupiter found evidence of more corpses in the area. After a brief interview with a local, he learned none of these sightings were relevant to his search. These were the corpses of war mongers seeking to flaunt their power and prove their mettle.

After searching the woodlands, Jupiter braved the foul harpy nest in Covetous. Curious that all the harpies were clattering far from their nest. He found several spike traps that could have maimed many of the men, but still, no evidence of a missing patrol...

After searching Covetous for sometime, Jupiter decided that a strategic retreat was in order. So in a calm manner, he fled the harpies' den.

Finally he made his way to the Isle of Fire, home of the Fortress Ignavus, more commonly known as Hythloth.

He conducted the search first around the island. There was a Shinobi's hut, evidence of a savage, and bloodthirsty Jiwana warrior. But still no evidence of the patrol. So into Hythloth his search led and concluded with the intensive deposition of a Demon named Zoray and his Orc guard.

It is with great sorrow I conclude this report with no findings or clues as to the whereabouts of the missing patrol....

“It is with a weary heart that we prepare these words.

There is no easy answer to the evil that pervades in this world. Nothing other than simply standing against it.

By now you have guessed that the lost patrol was found in circumstances contrary to what we had all prayed. We can find comfort that, in their last moments, the brave men led by Hamish did stand.

When torment, fear, and even death stared upon them, they did not falter nor give way to the depravity that demons so ruthlessly endeavor to entice upon men.

By Virtue’s grace, and the sea gods’ will, we commend this report of Sir Hamish’s final patrol. He lived well, he fought bravely, he died with honor. We trust his soul will not be harrowed by the evils of Ignavus.

**Signed Olaf Seabjorn, Jupiter Greystone, Cero of the Council***”

Captain Mayon’s gaze drifted as up looked up from Olaf’s report.

In the solemn moments that followed, no words were spoken, but all present could clearly hear the final battle cry of Hamish.

I would like to specifically thank Cero for taking these kinds of Quest bags to the next level! I do not want to give out too many details of this quest, because it will take away from any who may chance upon this quests again for themselves. It was QUITE fantastic and utilized in game mechanics in a way that I had never even dreamed. It will be said that this quest was available for ‘any’ who would have chanced upon Sir Hamish’s final words. I am honored that we had Cero escort us directly and look forward to having a repeat. Although I hope it doesn’t require Hamish to die over and over again, everything about this quest was excellently prepared.

    BRAVO!!!

Thanks for the kind words Jupiter, it was finding one of your quest bags that lead me to make this! I had fun making and finishing out the quest. Looking forward to planning the next one already as soon as time permits(Halloween might get in the way!)

Thanks to Olaf as well for helping out and I'm glad the reward went to someone that can use it(as I had hoped!!)
